Another coincidence

I just happened to be wearing my own version of this today. Travel day, so lighting and locations not the best -- sorry!

First the daytime outfit. My jacket is ink blue and I wore neutral booties and red scarf (Sandwich, no Find) -- but otherwise, I fit the formula exactly -- entirely by coincidence -- and what a great FFB outfit!! Honestly, before leaving this morning I was in one of those desperate -- what do I wear???? moods, trying on this, trying on that, pushing it all into the corner and feeling rushed and horrible. I put the jacket on and bingo! Instantly, I felt like a million bucks. Thank you, Reiss, and thank you, Angie and Vivian, and Greenjeans and Janet and Diana and Sveta, and Karie and Jjsloane and Isabel all the rest of you who urged me to spend more on this item of clothing than I'd ever spent on an item of clothing in my life -- it was totally, totally worth it.

So, what did I do? Packed 2 more jackets for 3 days away, ha! :)

Evening (another bathroom pic) in new blue jacquard J. Crew top. And Trouvé tux jacket and jeans again with different booties for a casual supper. Fun Sicilian restaurant -- Sicily pics in the background.

Mr. Suz loves this J. Crew top on me. It's hard to see the pattern in the pic but it's a great "under a jacket" dressy top and will work nicely with the right skirt also. It's quite cut away in the shoulders so I will need one of those bra pinchers or a racer back bra to keep my straps better behaved in summer.

The J Crew shirt with the necklace is gorgeous on you! No wonder Mr. Suz loves it.
I enjoyed reading about your fab jacket; I remember when you bought it. Happy to see you wearing and loving it! Enjoy your time away and the jackets.

You look a million bucks in these outfits. Spending money on a great blazer is money well spent, it looks fantastic on you.

    You look FAB.

  • No Fear of Fashion replied 6 years ago

Oh the first jacket outfit is indeed an outfit that fits the expression “effortlessly chic”. I love it. And that red scarf! You are one of those women who can wear scarves and look terrific. If I wear a scarf I look as if I am having a bad cold. It always hangs in a stupid way.
Your other outfit with the cute top is stellar too.
You did very well with your styling efforts.

The Reiss jacket! Love, love, LOVE it on you. It fits you perfectly. You look gorgeous in both outfits. That Boston trip was so much fun, hopefully we’ll get to do it again. Your hair is looking spectacular too.

    You know what works!
You look put-together and on the edge of dressy/casual in your first outfit. The blue top looks great and I like your bold necklace for an evening out.

Suz - is there anything better than a great blazer to pull an outfit together?! TD F w the scarf. Marvelous. Love the JCrew jacquard too. If only everything came in black....

  • Angie replied 6 years ago

YAY. How fun to see you post, Suz. I’m still with my Dad, but had to say how KILLER gorgeous you look in all these outfits. Your hair has never looked better! It’s beautiful with the bling necklace. Modern yet Retro.

Fun Boston gathering memories. Exquisite blazer. Reiss makes amazing stuff, and you wear the look with panache. Good job packing more jackets. WHY NOT.

Inge and I were in Sandwich a few days ago. Nice Dutch store. Do a lot of YOUR red. Much love to you.

Thank you all for your kind and generous words. It really is amazing how  a good jacket elevates everything. I made the right purchase that day in  Boston, that's for sure.

Blazer for the win! Looks terrific.
Off to try some new stylings of my jackets!
I love the look of slightly cutaway shoulders.

  • krishnidoux replied 6 years ago

    Wo fab outfits!!!
The first one is so you. It is also fun and dynamic. And how well does it complement your hair.
It’s the jacket but not just: the other items are pristine perfect too. There is care in the detail, which sets the scene for the outstanding jacket. Also, the necklace over the dark top is so wise. It creates fun geometry.
For your racer back: if you have a bra with detachable straps, lengthen them to the max and cross the straps (attaching the right one in th left loop and vice versa), sometimes that’s all it takes.
Otherwise lengthen straps and use a safety pin ;)

  • Jjsloane replied 6 years ago

See! Sometimes it's worth the splurge! You wear this so well. I also love the J Crew top and the BR bling! You're on team magpie with this look!

  • Debora replied 6 years ago

LOVE that blazer on you! You look so fab. The JCrew top is beautiful, too. Great outfits, Suz!

  • Jaime replied 6 years ago

That blazer is worth its weight in therapy - an instant booster, solves all sorts of problems, dresses up and down, etc. etc. etc. You look fab!

  • Runcarla replied 6 years ago

I hope the Big City treated you well. You are looking beautiful! Agree that your hair is looking dead right and the jacket fits wonderfully.

  • jussie replied 6 years ago

You look great! I especially like the red scarf on you.

  • lyn67 replied 6 years ago

I usually feel the same when putting on a great jacket on a blah day! :-) Suz, YL as F in your  dressy blues/navies, as in the classic   bl&w with a  red accent your way! Oh, and love love love  your  edgy, short pixie to all of these!

  • Katerina replied 6 years ago

You look wonderful, Suz. The jacket is just perfect! Both outfits are sensational.

  • texstyle replied 6 years ago

Great outfits suz!  The jacket is perfect and both outfits look polished but still comfortable.

  • texstyle replied 6 years ago

Great outfits suz!  The jacket is perfect and both outfits look polished but still comfortable.

  • Christina F. replied 6 years ago

You look just great in these.

  • Sara L. replied 6 years ago

You look great!  I love the red scarf.  I was just thinking last week that I only have one scarf with a bit of red and I should add one that's mostly red (like I really need more scarves, haha).  The blingy necklace is great too.  I use those bra pincher things in the summer and they work great. It keeps me from having to duplicate all my bras in racerback styles.

A piece that makes you feel like a million bucks is special and well worth the investment. You look stunning.

  • Dana replied 6 years ago

You always look amazing, Suz! I agree with every sentiment given on all of your pieces! And your hair is SO CUTE!!!!!!
