Another FABiversary Find

I wasn't expecting to buy a pair of Levis when I walked into the store, since I rarely have much luck with their fits, or at least I haven't since my teenage years. But lo -- look what I came home with!

These are the Blue Tab "Max loose jean" -- Japanese denim with lyocell, which makes them lightweight and drapey. They are super comfortable. They have a very fun lightly frayed hem, and the SA actually hemmed them for me on the spot, keeping the original hem, at Angie's request!

I love the pocket placement both front and back.

They are a perfect summer jean, very easy to wear. Except, I should not have worn them to the garden centre where they soaked up lots of water and mud despite being the proper length, just because of those little frays.

Luckily, they washed up nicely and all is well.

So hip and relaxed! That snake belt is one of the most useful accessories I have ever seen.

  • slim cat replied 1 week ago

Adorable - especially with your new pink jacket!

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 1 week ago

What a great outfit, Suz! Pocket placement is so key. The pink jacket is looking terrific. I had to click on that Zara tee, but of course it's not available--it was probably around for a couple of weeks, max. ha!

OMG the whole outfit is so great!!

BEST JEANS OF YOUR LIFE, Suz!!!

KILLER to the Power of KILLER. The jeans and your outfit! Look at that awesome belt!

    Thank you, PPL's ;)

Soooooo fun to have tried these WITH YOU two weeks ago!!! LOVE the Japanese denim options at Levi's! They hemmed those jeans in 40 minutes on the spot. IMPRESSIVE!!!!

Levi's is one of the best and coolest brick 'n mortar stores in the US at the moment. I am taking everyone there! Their level of size diversity, gender fluidity, bespokeness, and in-store service cannot be beat. Extremely hip and knowledgeable sales staff too.

I will be doing a Levi's Brand Spotlight soon.....

  • Suz replied 1 week ago

Angie, you were so right about the service at that store -- it was incredible! Thank you for taking me there!

Roberta, the belt is from Brave, a Canadian company. I love their belts!

    MsMary, thanks!

Sharan, that tee is....at least 11 years old! This is why I say that sometimes Zara "fast fashion" is not so fast! A few of the oldest items in my closet come from Zara, including this top.

    slim cat, thank you!

Great looking jeans Suz ! Too wide and loose for me , but you look great in them . I finally ventured into the Levi’s store in the mall near me and lasted 2 minutes . Nothing hip or cool about it and I couldn’t tell what I was looking at with walls and tables of styles . All I want is a zip fly 509 which I thought was ubiquitous right now but apparently not . American stores must be different than ours .

Fantastic looking jeans! How awesome they were tailored on the spot! And the new pink jacket pairs beautifully with the light blue denim. An excellent wardrobe addition!

  • Bonnie replied 1 week ago

Those jeans are wonderful on you.

  • K. Period. replied 1 week ago

Ooooh I love those, Suz! Levi's has been killing it for me lately and obviously for you too. They look soooo good on you!

(Also, that print top and snake belt? *Chef's kiss*)

  • Sal replied 1 week ago

You look wonderful in this look. Perfect spring outfit. Great jeans on you.

  • Jaime replied 1 week ago

I have been wondering about those Japanese Levis - so great to see them in action. They look super on you! The whole outfit is smashing.

  • Janet replied 1 week ago

Oh, those are awesome! If I saw you on the street I would be running over to ask you where you got them. And lightweight Japanese denim-lyocel blend? That sounds so perfect. Alas, the only Levi’s stores in my region are outlets, which I’m pretty sure don’t carry these. What a great purchase!

  • Suz replied 1 week ago

Janet, you can get these online. Just saying....

  • Aquamarine replied 1 week ago

Wow, so fab! That’s awesome they were hemmed on the spot. Liking that pink jacket…my daughter did indeed order one herself and it’s exactly what she wanted.

  • Suz replied 1 week ago

Aquamarine -- that's so great about the jacket! Thanks to Nuancedream for finding it and Angie and Sharon for cheering it on! Now there are at least 2 happy grown up wearers!

Jaime, thanks -- they are SO comfy. But I do need to get another pair of shoes to wear with them. I have two pair that work but one's an oxford and one's a sneaker. I need a sandal with a bit of a platform.

    Thanks, Sal!

K.Period. I wore these on our shopping expedition! Bought them the day before, put them on in the morning. Team Wear!

    Bonnie, LIsa -- thank you!

LJP -- I tend to feel like that when I walk into our local Levis store, too, but I am wondering if a few hours perusing the web site and then asking for specific styles might help?

  • Brooklyn replied 1 week ago

Wow, they look great! And what service! What’s the rise like? I haven’t tried Levi’s for years. I got discouraged by that rib cage style that everybody seemed to love. They looked so awful on me I could never go back. Jeans shopping takes mental preparation. I need an Angie escort for moral support (plus her influence with the sales assistants).

  • Janet replied 1 week ago

Brooklyn, I couldn’t do that ribcage style either! It’s nice to see a wider array of options from them.

Suz, I found them online. Tempting, but I should probably resist. I’m well stocked for denim and pants these days. I can get carried away when a cut I like is trending!

  • Inge replied 1 week ago

What a find, Suz! I witnessed the fabulosity in person, and am so glad they came home with you (excellent service, indeed). We knew you had a winner, the moment you came out of the dressing room:-)
The pink jacket works so well with these jeans, and I love the pattern mixing you have got going on with the tee and belt!

  • Suz replied 1 week ago

Thanks, Inge. It was great to have you there cheering me on!

Janet, maybe they will go on sale later in the season....would love to be your denim twin and your legs would be a zillion miles long in these!!!

Brooklyn and Janet -- RIB CAGE JEANS!!   ARGH! I loved them on so many fabbers and tried them multiple times but sent them back each time. They are awful on me, too. I actually tried a pair sized up two sizes during the Fabiversary shop, and they were better than in my regular size, for sure, but still definitely did not feel right on me.

The rise is relatively high on these, Brooklyn. But not rib cage high. :)

Those jeans are so fun and perfect for you. I can't believe the SA hemmed them on the spot?! That sounds like a dream come true! And I'm mystified how they did it and still kept the original hem.

The colors are perfect on you with your hair - dusty rose, denim blue, silver - I love the silver shoes peaking out from those wide legs.

    Lovely and fun.

  • Karie replied 1 week ago

I love those jeans on you! And that pink denim jacket is super cute, too.

  • lyn67 replied 1 week ago

You rock those extra wide and long bottoms, Suz! And look at that pink denim jacket! Love the silver shoes with  tee and the hair!

  • Kyle replied 1 week ago

I love, love, love your new jeans and have a soft spot for unusual or dramatic bottoms. I find that they give a really good jolt to my wardrobe and make a lot of things feel fresh and exciting again.

  • Helena replied 1 week ago

You look so effortlessly cool Suz!

LJP, same with our Levi's store ... My best bet was to work out my sizing in store and then order online. Sadly the pairs that seem to be trending don't seem to show up in North GTA either :/

  • K. Period. replied 1 week ago

Suz, I can see it! I remember thinking your jeans were fabulous. I’m kinda surprised that they too are Levi’s. So many great jeans right now.

For your purse, would something like this suit? https://www.coach.com/products.....rch=Silver
