Clarifying weekend plans: WTW

I owe you all an apology. I was not very clear in my earlier post.

This weekend, I have 3 nighttime outfits to arrange and 4 daytime outfits to arrange.

SO, for clarification, here are my events.

1. Friday:

DAYTIME: travel to city plus some shopping.

NIGHT: Gala: Wearing either Nicole Miller sheath or fuchsia suit. So yes, Angie, that event is (more or less) set -- I'll do a "which one" post tomorrow.

2. Saturday:

DAYTIME: Attending conference events. Afternoon presentation as part of a panel.  The audience and other panelists will be dressed CASUALLY. But I want to look professional as well as approachable. So "sporty smart casual" might be something I'd want to aim for.

NIGHTTIME:  Dinner with colleagues and clients at a relatively casual restaurant.

3.  Sunday:

DAYTIME: Interviewing clients, more conference events. (Dress casual but professional.)

NIGHT: Dinner with colleagues at fairly upscale restaurant.

4. Monday:

DAYTIME: More client interviews.

The weather is predicted to be cool and rainy some of the time. And there will be walking to and from restaurants and transit. EEEK!!

I am still feeling pretty unsettled about everything except Friday night. I will take some pics and show you tomorrow for feedback.

Again - apologies for my lack of clarity.

ok and remind us when you can change and when not between morning and evening activities?

For sat...From the previous...#3 outfit with leith pants and a jeans jacket as angie suggests with fun sneaks for day. Swap with heels for night (though this may not be necessary since the shoes are "under the table" literally and metaphorically.

For sunday day, how about one of your outfits with bf jeans and the floral jacket from your recent retreat or something worn with the se petty booties...too hot already?

Sunday night, i love #6 as long as you have a wrap. I would keep black shoes. Gold seems too warm. The gray tones here seem cool.

Okay! So lets run through night time outfits first:

    • Friday - SHEATH :)
    • Saturday - #3 in the previous post with Leith pants, lace top and fuchsia jacket
    • Sunday: Fuchsia suit

Not that I'm bossy or anything.

Dittoing Angie all the way. are you super pressed for space? I usually take a few options and decide on the spot, based on my feel as of the level of dressiness of my colleagues.

Zap, that's a good plan. I can bring one carry-on size bag, but it's possible to stuff a fair bit in there. So I can bring some options. And may need to, with unsettled weather.

Sona, you raise an excellent question.

Friday, I can change between activities (thank heavens!)

Saturday: Can't change completely between activities. I can probably bring a tote and switch up shoes or accessories or even change from pants into a skirt, but that will be pushing it. On the positive side, both events will be relatively casual that day. Angie, I think the #3 with the silk jacket would be too dressy for the particular restaurant that night. But I might be wrong about that.

Sunday: Can't change completely. This is the killer, because I have to switch from casual day to fairly dressy evening!

I might be able to persuade someone who is staying at the hotel to let me borrow her room for a while to store my stuff. I'm not entirely sure about that. Or maybe I can just leave a bag of clothes with the concierge and change in the bathroom, LOL! (It's a bit of an unusual situation; though it is a company event, the company isn't putting us up at the hotel for a variety of reasons, which is why the logistics are so complicated.)

Okay. Thank you all for your thoughts so far. I think I need to take some pictures tomorrow and get a better read on the weather. And stop stressing out! :-)
