Crops lab plus bonus KL sweater and BR sweater and bling!

So, who's going to help me harvest my crops?  ;)

I have here, for comparison, 3 pairs of BR crops.

Pics 1-6 : With the orchid/ violet sweater (also under consideration) I have the resin wash regular length in my regular size. Super comfy, super fit, and they're a flare -- but are they too long? I am showing with various footwear options. I have others, but wanted you to see what I would wear in temps ranging from cool spring to summer evenings.

Pics 7- 10 With KL's Club Monaco snake print sweater from a few years back, recently gifted to me, I have the resin wash petites in the same size. They fit...but not as comfortable in the rise. And, are they a wee bit too short?

I am beginning to feel like Goldilocks!

Pics 11-12. Finally, I am also showing for comparison the faded wash pair I have owned since the fall. These are sized up petites. Fabrication has far less stretch. They sit a bit lower on me because the waist is larger -- when I wear a belt they are a wee bit higher.

I would love your input. If the first pair do not seem too long to be intentional I would rather keep those because they feel best.

And -- what do you think of my bling? I am seriously jewellery challenged and have been waffling on the statement necklace thing for years. Is this one good? It feels great on, by the way.

I like the shorter length of 7-10...

First, love both sweaters and all the bling, fabulous!
I much prefer the shorter length of the petite jeans. If they are not comfy enough though, I would shorten the regular pair to that same length.

LOVE THE BLING. Looks like you're having tea in my Kingdom of Modern Retro. Welcome! And you are radiant in orchid. (Nice that you have your camera back).

I like both lengths, because you have the support act sorted. Can't go wrong either way.

Well, Angie, that is interesting. It did cross my mind that I might keep both. I got them on sale. I can see wearing them in slightly different circumstances perhaps.

The shorter (petite) ones do not work with my Zara booties -- they are also, by the way, a full inch shorter than the faded petites, which do work with those booties quite well.  A totally different fit, as you mentioned in your posts about these jeans.

The longer (regulars) are not two inches longer than the petites but more like an inch and a bit longer.

So glad you like the bling! Me, too! I also like the sweater. The drop shoulder that bothers others does not bother me at all -- I seem to fill it out.

Yes, the orchid sweater AND the one from KL are both great on you. (I like the fitted look of kl's top.
    The bling is very pretty.
Now that Angie has chimed in, I'd pick the more comfortable pair of jeans.

Suz, you CAN keep both. I have crops are different lengths too. Wear them ALL.

  • texstyle replied 8 years ago

All of this looks fantastic on you Suz - love your new bling and sweater and I think both jeans look good - the shorter ones seem like they are more S/S and the others could be year round.

  • Marilyn replied 8 years ago

Looking great, Suz.  My preference would be the first pair.  I like the extra length.  But, Angie is the expert here.  Your faded ones look great too.  Looks like you're sorted on this. :)

  • Diana replied 8 years ago

I like the shorter ones, but if the longer are more comfy I'd go for those and shorten them.  BUT it depends on whether you want to be able to wear them when it's colder (maybe important in your climate...).

  • SecretSquirrel replied 8 years ago

Yes I was hoping Angie had already commented on the length as ?I am not sure my eye is trained properly . I like them both, with a slight preference for the first pair of jeans - as you said they were more comfortable than the second pair? If you already can feel a difference, just from trying them on.. . (Although you may have been wearing them in more, of course). The necklace is stunning. As a fellow short hair lady, I can see how it really sets off your hair cut. Very very nice indeed.

I much prefer the longer pair .  I still get the cropped /current vibe and they look like they fit well. The shorter pair just look too small - and not literally, - but they give that vibe of a pant that's too short and too small. But that's my own peculiar take on this type of pant.  I like your longer hair - very pretty !  And as for the necklace - I have that one too and like this on you - perfect extra bling piece that can be worn with anything. Which reminds me to wear mine again soon.  :)

I have a slight preference for the length of your faded wash pair--no help, I know. But I wouldn't keep the shorter resin wash petites if they're less comfortable in the rise; you have other options and I know I'd always reach for the comfy pair. The regular length resin wash is a tad long but you make it work, really!

And always great to see passed-on pieces being worn :) Enjoy the sweater!

Question about the orchid sweater, which by the way is so perfect on you .....is it in stores, or did you have to order it. I'm trying to figure out if it's the one I remember seeing in our local BR, which struck me as too fitted and straight cut for my preferences. This doesn't look fitted though, which confuses me. I want one!!

  • Sveta replied 8 years ago

Petite pair is the same length on you as mine and like Angie I think both length work. So if one is more comfortable that the other it is no brainer then - keep the regular!
I was also thinking about that orchid sweater...looks great. Do the sleeves stretch -  this is my deal breaker with the sweaters lately.
    Long live the bling!!!

  • Cerinda replied 8 years ago

Tough trend for the win! I have just the slightest preference for the petite but love all three.  The lilac is smashing on you, better than in the pic in finds.

  • Brooklyn replied 8 years ago

You look lovely Suz. The orchid suits you. My vote is for the first (longer) pair over the second. The third is perfect.

  • Helena replied 8 years ago

Love that sweater on you Suz!

  • Suz replied 8 years ago

    Thank you all!

LisaP, the sweater was in the Toronto store but I ordered online as I pretty much always do. I see/ touch/ sometimes try on in store and then order to try on at home at leisure. Truthfully, they often don't have my own size in store so it works better for me.

It is a boxy, fluid sweater, not at all fitted. Keep in mind that my frame is small busted but square shouldered.

Sveta, I don't know if the sleeves will stretch but it doesn't feel that way. I hear you on that, by the way; it is a pet peeve of mine with knits, esp, linen and cotton knits. This, by the way, is quite a warm sweater -- good for COOL spring, not for mid-May forward (I expect) in our climate. From now unit Mid-May.

Great bling! I like the second two pairs best, though the first works well too. If you have room for different lengths, they're all going to work best with differing footwear :)
