Festive Challenge Week 1

I seem to have struggled with this in the sense that my "festive" outfits don't look different from my regular outfits. But I did at least think "festive" each day when getting dressed, so that must count for something, right? :)

1. Layering a sweater I wore only on its own last year.
2. Plaid and dark cranberry. Wore this for a meetup with a YLF friend! Sadly, we did not take a photo.
3. The scarf is a YLF holiday gift from years ago -- it has subtle sparkle!
4. Red
5. The outdoor version.
6/7. Similar, worn with a jacket to take kid to the theatre.
8. See the sparkly "indoor booties"? On my way to a Hannukah party. I am also wearing my silver velour tee, which was visible at the party because I took off the scarf and jacket.

Such nice festive outfit Suz! I really enjoy your style. My favorites are 2,4, and 5

These are all great Suz - I love 1 and 8 (love the sparkly booties).

You look fantastic in a beanie - they really suit you.  And in the puffers too.

I love the red jumper and the one with the shades, very cool!

You look great esp... in Puffies! :D I think red at this time of year is definitely festive when it’s all cold and gloomy.

Really nice, Suz. I really like 4 and 6. I love the bright scarf on the dark background. They’re all nice, though.

All fabulous, as usual! I think I love #1 the best but they are all great. I also really like how you styled a basic plaid flannel shirt with a long cardigan. Your normal colors work very well for the holidays.  Must be nice to have a break from having to cover everything with an industrial strength puffer coat :-)

I just love how you wear plaid.  The Hannukah party outfit is probably my favourite, as I'm into all things sparkly too right now ;)  I often wish I bought the long version of TNF Thermoball while I had the change, and appreciate how much wear you must be getting out of this navy one .   Which YLF friend did you meet??

    oh, i like them all...but i have a soft spot of #6...

  • Karie replied 5 years ago

I love it all! Silver and red are great colors for you.

All great outfits. Adore 8. When you get tired of that velvet t shirt, please send it my way

  • Bijou replied 5 years ago

So festive, red is beautiful on you and you use scarves to great effect, providing warmth but also adding to your outfits. The #7 & 8 are my favourites. I love the cats eye sunglasses on you with the beanie and pea coat, an exercise in beautiful pieces that fit perfectly and the beanie adds a touch of fun. #8 - well that has it all - shine, texture and subtle pattern mixing.

You look so great ... Love the red and navy scarf ... You do look amazing in your reds!

  • Beth Ann replied 5 years ago

I see festive!  I've not found much forum time recently, but I'm finding inspiration in the way you add little touches -- mine is also often in color, scarves and jewelry.  I think plaid can read as holiday also --- love your scottish plaid shirt!

You can do no wrong  :)

  • Joy replied 5 years ago

I see the festive with all the Reds and some sparkle. My favorite outfit is the first one.

    Fabulous set of outfits, Suz!
This is a great example of how to make ones “regular” wardrobe, festive. Most of your pieces don’t necessarily look festive on their own, but worn together, or in close time proximity to each other, results in a great festive week. Does that make sense?

Hi and WOW! You look adorable in those combos and colors. I especially love number two.

  • Runcarla replied 5 years ago

    Looks festive to me!

  • Jaime replied 5 years ago

Love the layering in #1. Note to self, need haircut - your hair is super! Sparkly boots are perfect for Hanukkah! Is that your new peacoat? Looks fantastic!

  • Mirjana replied 5 years ago

I agree with you about festive look. Love all outfits, you look adorable, but the best #1, red is beautiful on you, the next are with red puffer and #8, lovely sparkly boots.

  • lyn67 replied 5 years ago

I agree, you always look "festive", Suz!:-) But these DO have that special winter touch we feel right and special for around holidays! Love all!

  • Christina F. replied 5 years ago

Beautiful and festive. It's hard to pick a favorite. Maybe 4? Those jeans are winners on you, too.

  • texstyle replied 5 years ago

Wonderful outfits all around - I think they all do look festive in a fab casual stylish way! Not sure I can choose a favorite here but I am drawn to the plaid and also love #1!

  • Sara L. replied 5 years ago

Great looks!  The cranberry and red look so good on you - they're conveniently holiday colors that you already own.  The sparkly boots are fun and I'm glad you found an occasion to wear them.

  • Angie replied 5 years ago

SO MUCH the better. That means your outfits are festive throughout the year :)

  • Angie replied 5 years ago

You have KILLER style. Full Stop.

  • Angie replied 5 years ago

You are soooo stinking cute in that hat!

  • Sisi replied 5 years ago

I agree with Angie, killer style, no need of other words. You wear hats (beret? beanie? how do you call that type of hat?) like nobody else.

  • taylor replied 5 years ago

They are all great SUz , but # 2 really inspires me !
    Gorgeous:)

  • Dana replied 5 years ago

You are fabulously festive in my book!! All great outfits, but I especially love #2!
