For the gala, it's decided: the Nicole Miller sheath with the kimono in case of air conditioning. But please tell me there won't be air conditioning. It is going to be relatively chilly tomorrow. And rainy. So I'm going to have to wear my trench in transit and pray the cheap gold shoes don't lose their shine!

For the dinner with colleagues in the relatively dressy location on Sunday: the fuchsia suit.

Question: which top?

3-5 Ann Taylor silk shell. A bit sheer, maybe? I don't really want to wear a cami, but I could.

6-7 Club Monaco jacquard shell (t shirt like material).

Would love your thoughts. Am still figuring out the presentation and other events but will have to post separately about those.

I like view 5 or 7 best (with jacket). Without the jacket I vote for the CM shell. You look stunning in everything.

These are both so fantastic! That sheath! I wish I could look like that in a sheath dress... I have a slight preference for the second top.

That dress is just perfect on you! And it looks great with the kimono jacket.

I actually like the first top better (it looks silky and drapey and reads a bit dressier to me) but it looks like I am in the minority.

I am so glad you scored this dress. So pretty on you. I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow and you are able to enjoy the evening without worrying about it. It is hard to pick from the two toppers but I have a slight preference for the CM one.

Gala outfit is AWESOME! You look so beautiful and elegant I cannot stand it!!!
I prefer AT shell shape and material. Why don't you want to wear cami? It is going to be pretty cool this weekend so it may keep you warmer in AC. Tee looks fine too but AT shell has my heart!

Either ivory top looks good with the suit, and not really distinguishable as a different look, with jacket on, but the AT IS kinda sheer. If the T type top feels safer, but is a bit less "elegant" in fabrication, it is very adequately elevated by the rest of the outfit so that it is perfectly dressy enough.
Fab to the 10th power of fab.

Thanks everyone! I am going to decide at the last minute then and bring both tops just in case. I feel good about the sheath dress outfit, which is the most important one. And wasn't it lucky that I came up with two dressy outfits? I had no idea earlier that I was going to have two dressy events this weekend, but lo and behold, I did!

My thoughts are as follows: You are going to be the best looking woman in the whole place! The sheath is just stunning! And I don't think you can go wrong with either top with that fab pantsuit!

YLF. These look great on you. That color blue is gorgeous as is the fuscia suit. Both somehow manage to be timeless and current. So very Suz.
