Haircut!

Last time I got a haircut was Feb. 23. That's a loooooong break for someone with short hair!

It was so lovely to see my stylist. I like her SO much. Everything is spic and span in the shop. There were only 2 stylists working. Lots of airflow, lots of space. They have made a decision to cut hair dry and not to blow dry -- it allows them to keep their prices the same (the extra time is currently for disinfecting procedures). Masks worn by everyone the entire time. I felt very comfortable.

I let Johanna do what she felt like -- no instructions. She enjoys that and I trust her. She chose to bring it very close again in the back, quite short and textured on the top, but with a longer asymmetrical fringe. It appears a bit "choppy" in a few places in the photos but Mr. Suz says it looks fantastic in the back/ sides IRL, so blame the lousy selfies for that!

In honour of my new haircut, we are going out for LUNCH!! WOW, what a concept.

Got two compliments already on my dress. Such a fun summer dress -- Suntiger, look -- sleeves!! (But it's the Pacific Northwest -- this would not work in Ontario at all!)

ETA, the colour from last fall is pretty much gone now and I like it better au naturel.

Gorgeous Suz! Those are great sunglasses on you, too.

Haha! Hair looks great and love that *winter to me* dress :)

You look great! It must be such a relief! Interesting times for stylists.  Every cut must seem like a ‘makeover’ for them - 2-3 inches of grow-out or else fixing home hair-cuts!

Fabulous! I love the colors in your hair. And that dress and jacket are wonderful on you too.

Four months today for me. My hair is a mess, LOL. I'm tempted to call my salon and see how long it would be before I can be scheduled for just a cut. I can't see sitting in a salon for three hours for full color -- not here, not yet.

I love it all. Earrings included.

Carla, my stylist said the first few haircuts she did were like meditations. She was so into her zone!

And yes, she also said she felt she was excavating the shapes of clients' heads.

Gorgeous, Suz.  I love the texturing of your cut.  Great earrings.  Your dress is beautiful.  Got to love the West Coast.  I can barely stand to be outside for 5 seconds today.
I have an appointment to get my haircut on June 30.  So excited.  :)

KILLER STUNNING BEAUTIFUL all round! Amazing cut! You have the best super short silver pixie I've seen. I love your dangly earrings too. What a great feeling :)

Suz, glad you also felt comfortable, and have a lovely lunch!

Btw Suntiger, I wear our sleeved rayon dress in very dry SLC heat at 36C! Very comfy. Extremely breezy and practical.

I like this even better than before quarantine.

You look beautiful, the hair, the dress, the sunglasses....

  • Bonnie replied 3 years ago

Your cut looks great. Good to know about a dry cut. I might check with my hairdresser to see if she offers that option. Love the dress, too.

Fantastic haircut! It's perfect for the summer and suits you very well!
My last haircut was in Feb as well, I feel your pain! My hairdresser might reopen in July, I am really hoping I'll get an appointment soon!

You look beautiful, Suz. The haircut is terrific--I like the new bangs style. And your outfit is so pretty. My last haircut was on 21 Feb, and I'm not scheduled until 2 July. It will be quite an experience!

  • Suz replied 3 years ago

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone. There was a lot of hair on the floor, let me tell you. My hair is really thick, so it isn't just length she was dealing with, but endless thickness. I do think a stylist can often do a better job, though, when there is a lot to work with -- if you know what I mean. So I predict many of us will be happier than usual with our first COVID cuts!

Looks really good. I can see the thinning she did!

You look beautiful, Suz!  Wonderful hair and outfit.  I remember this dress.  I love the long earrings you’ve been wearing recently.  They fit seamlessly with your style.

Gorgeous cut! One fun thing about non-dyed whitening hair is it is constantly evolving into new shades and patterns and your new hair cut highlights those beautifully. Sounds like a great haircut experience and you look wonderful in the dress too!

  • Bijou replied 3 years ago

So fun to see your haircut and it is lovely. I really like your natural hair colour and this pixie highlights the gradual change in colour from your face framing silver to more steely tones at the back. That dress is such a winner on you too.

  • Staysfit replied 3 years ago

    Very nice!  :-)

  • Brooklyn replied 3 years ago

Wow, you look gorgeous! I’m glad you kept the top a little longer. I was liking the length there in your lockdown posts.

  • RobinF replied 3 years ago

Very nice cut! I love a bit of choppiness in a haircut.

  • Inge replied 3 years ago

Your hair looks amazing, Suz, and we need so little these days to feel excited, don't we ;-)

  • lyn67 replied 3 years ago

Really love the new cut -you look so gorgeous-color is still great, do you have  a toner or really all au naturel?? Wow!:-)

  • Kyle replied 3 years ago

Love the cut and longer fringe in front. Beautiful.

  • Suz replied 3 years ago

Thank you all. And yes, we need so little to get all excited these days! A trip to the hairdresser!! A simple lunch out with husband! WOW! (To be honest, I always got pretty excited and happy about those events but they're even more special now, for sure!)

Lyn, you asked about colour -- yes, it's natural, and no, I don't use a toner. But if I still lived in eastern Ontario I would need to use a purple shampoo occasionally because of the minerals in the water. They leave a yellow tinge on light hair. Here on the west coast the water is different and I find that I no longer need it.

  • qfbrenda replied 3 years ago

    Love it!!!

  • unfrumped replied 3 years ago

Superb! Love your natural hair color- stay with it.

  • Cardiff girl replied 3 years ago

you look so pretty. It must be great to get a hair cut.I feel like a super annuated Barbie at the moment but it won’t be until July ,possibly August before I can reasonably expect to get a trim.

  • rachylou replied 3 years ago
