Movie Review: PP Challenge

Apologies for yet another review! I am mainly putting this up so I will have a record for myself, so please don't feel a need to comment.

Thanks again, Ornella, for your superb organizational skills. Loved doing this, and my family loved it, too. In fact, I think they enjoy these as much as I do!

1. What I would have worn to the premier in 1981.
2. Star Wars
3. Breakfast at Tiffany's
4. Metropolis
5. Vertigo

My fave outfit of the week was Star Wars.

Metropolis is my favorite because you use line and cut to create a very sophisticated look. It truly challenges the idea that the only way to look sophisticated and chic is to reach for an all black outfit. I love this and that's saying a lot because I think you know by now I love color.

I also love your Tiffany's looks. Both are so Audrey and you wear both well. I still think your Raiders of the lost ark look was genius. I'm such a big fan Suz.

All stunning Suz!  If I had to pick a favorite than it would the all white #2 as well, beautiful!

I really admire you for showing us some dressed up looks this week!  The last look is something very similar with what I am going to wear to my Mother's 80th Birthday party in SF in a few weeks.  I figure the outfit is more timeless than my usual looks, so I won't be embarrassed by the picture in 5-10 years.:-)

    Huge fan of #7, 9 and 11.

Yay a whole week of Suz outfits :D Your raider's outfit was one of the best lateral interpretations, so very clever! And you get to wear your beloved fuchsia. #2 (be still my heart, all that white!) and #9 (incredible use of architectural lines) totally pop out at me though, boy can you really really rock a column of color. I enjoyed reading your musings on these outfits as you posted them, so interesting especially regarding fantasy vs. reality (I know you changed a few of these for "real life" wear).

Your Metropolis outfit is SUPERB Suz! Wow - that jacket with the portobello skirt is just incredible. I love how both have those tiered seams and the shades go beautifully together.

All fab looks - you did so great on this challenge. Well done!

You are too fab for words in #4, 37 and #9. I'm pinning you for future reference if that is ok!

These are all fabulous looks Suz  & I loved you reasoning for each outfit. My personal fav is the all white:)

    Thanks, you lovelies!!

I was a bit surprised that the Metropolis look worked. IRL the items are not quite a match so I worried that there would be a sense of clashing, but it's really true that tone on tone can work really well. And I am becoming a huge fan of tonal dressing.

Denise, I hope you'll share a photo of you in your outfit!! For my mother's 88th last week, I wore a version of my white sweater, white jacket and scarf outfit. But with denim bottoms. She was okay with that because it was a casual brunch.

Ingunn, if you are pinning, I am honoured!

I love these reviews - and of course I must respond, because your outfits are all commendable! I love how each one is clearly inspired by the poster but totally wearable and terrific looking. And I love you in all white!

Your concepts were beautifully executed!    Way to channel Elsa in the Indiana Jones outfit!

You also rocked the challenge, Suz! Well done! I know you'll guess which outfit here launched me into orbit - and I am still recovering.

I love your outfits for Metropolis & Vertigo especially, and if I saw you on the streets in the 3rd outfit, I'd immediately think Breakfast at Tiffany's! Fab! Also your Star Wars is so wearable. I would have thought silvery and texture but your look is more sophisticated..

I loved your Star Wars and Metropolis for their monochromatic beauty, and you really brought a smile by kicking off the week with your premier wear!  That was so much fun.  You're a star in my book, Suz!  Great job all week.
