I like travel posts, because you get to see how items are remixed.  Did you enjoy having a limited wardrobe?  I find when I travel I like the smaller number of choices, at least for a little while. :)

  • Mo replied 10 years ago

Wow, that's a lot of outfits for a week!  I wonder how many you'll end up with for the month?  Hee hee on #11 :)  Gear is part of life, too!

  • carambola replied 10 years ago

You look great in every one of these! I tend to wear the same combinations again and again, so I am super impressed with your remixing skills.

  • Neel replied 10 years ago

There is no limit to your polished gorgeousness! The Danier jacket is super flattering on you! I am not sure which one is my favorite! I like all of them!

And you are the most stylish traveler I have ever seen!

  • Mochi replied 10 years ago

Superb. You have a really elegant-sporty style and your wardrobe items play so well together.

Incidentally, I look at the collarless leather jacket in the second pic, and think: She could have handled my Halogen jacket! It doesn't elongate your neck or anything. In fact, it's really gorgeously styled.

  • Angie replied 10 years ago

You gorgeous creature - from start to finish. You have become quite the trouser gal too. High five.

I'm going with #1, #5, #10, and #12 that whack it out of the ball park for me. Killer looks.

  • replied 10 years ago

Gorgeous -- love seeing the different combinations.

  • amiable replied 10 years ago

Yay! You look so terrifically fabulous!

  • replied 10 years ago

You've totally given me an idea with 12 on how to style my Pettys. Thank you!

  • Alexandra replied 10 years ago

Yay, this is awesome! I enjoy seeing your combinations, especially the ones with jeans.

  • carter replied 10 years ago

Yay! I was afraid I'd missed the presentation pics. Fabulous travel wardrobe. 2, 7, 10 and 11 are my favorites...yes, even in gear you look completely put together. Love them all!

  • Laura (rhubarbgirl) replied 10 years ago

How do you do it, Suz? You rock the half-tuck like no one else, and your colors are spot on. 8 is probably my least favorite just because it doesn't seem very "suz-ish" but I do like you in a skirt/dress occasionally; you have great legs. :)

  • Missey replied 10 years ago

Your travel wardrobe is perfection...you are an outfit mixologist!  Each outfit you created is fresh and different enough from the others that a repeat piece looks new in each one..Bravo!

  • Emily replied 10 years ago

Suz, you look great in all of these and extra cute in your gear!  I extra-love your daytime sparkly sweater, and neutral/ink blue/burgundy colour palette.

  • E replied 10 years ago

I always love it when you post wiws and this is no exception! I can't believe you can travel wearing a leather jacket: when I have long travel days I always layer with a cardigan instead for the comfort factor.

  • Parsley replied 10 years ago

I love all of these, Suz!
It's always fun to see people's travel capsules, and yours works to perfection!
#5 with that sparkly sweatshirt is so very FABULOUS I almost can't get past it!

  • NDMom replied 10 years ago

I love your style!  AND, you know, I love how you dressed up to visit your mother!

  • deb replied 10 years ago

    You always look so good!

  • Windchime replied 10 years ago

What a full weekend you had, and you more than rose to every occasion with these terrific outfits! I love your blue blingy sweatshirt and your baggy trousers, to name just a couple.

  • Aida replied 10 years ago

Goodness, sounds like you had a busy busy week and here you've got each outfit looking super! I must say I'm a sucker for the leather jacket outfits, that jacket just looks so amazing on you. Also adore #3 and #5. Your travel capsule really showcases how versatile a few well selected pieces can work in tandem.

  • Marmee replied 10 years ago

Love them all.  Hard to choose a favorite, but I particularly like 6/7 and 9.  And #11 for the health benefits!

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Thanks, everyone. This was a tough week to dress for, to be honest, and my suitcase was a packed! I had to carry a lot of books with me. And the weather was so up and down. Freezing with snow one day, warm, windy, and rainy the next. Plus I had so many activities.

E, I took the jacket off in the train -- I wore it outdoors on the warmer day as my outer layer, and under my wool coat as a layer on the cold day.

  • Peri replied 10 years ago

I love them all, but I really love the pink spotted top...I want it to be mine. You don't want it anymore, do you? :)

  • Karie replied 10 years ago

I love how you re-mixed outfits for travel. They are all gorgeous, but my favorite is #6. I love that scarf, top, and belt together.

Suz, do you jog in the winter in your climate? My rule is it has to be 20 degrees F or above.

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Well, today it was pretty warm, Karie! So I was okay. But I do run pretty often through the winter. Not on the very windiest, coldest days, or days with a lot of ice underfoot. I just like to get outdoors for exercise when I can. So I layer up. :)

  • Amy replied 10 years ago

Suz, you look marvelous in all of these!

  • E replied 10 years ago

Suz that makes a lot more sense! I once left a jacket on a plane when I flying back to college and it made me so sad that now if I'm travelling with outerwear I strap it to my backpack so I can't possible lose it. lol

  • Jaime replied 10 years ago

So many great looks - daytime sparkle, white belt, slouchy trousers, great sweaters and of course I love the navy booties. No way I can pick a favorite - you manage so many fab outfits with a travel capsule. Hope I get to see how that works in person ;-)

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

You will for sure, Shevia --- the plan is next spring (i.e not 2014 but 2015). This year the timing doesn't work so well for DD's school holiday and family holidays there...so next year it is.

  • Debora replied 10 years ago

Suz, I always enjoy your travel capsules. You look so stylish and polished. You are rocking your sweaters and pants. Love your pea coat in #1!

  • unfrumped replied 10 years ago

So much drabness! 11 may be my fave. No really, I love the mixing and matching of your items. Keep up the trouser looks.

  • Day Vies replied 10 years ago

2 and 12 are my faves. All of them are mixable matchable perfectly Suz outfits. I love the additions of the statement belts and eye candy on the feet. They add such a nice contrast.

  • replied 10 years ago

I am speechless, too much fabness in one post!

  • Ariadne replied 10 years ago

Oh, wow.  WOW.  You NAILED it!  Is this the trip you were having trouble coming up with outfits for?  Because I never would have guessed!

My favourites are the same as Angie's, with the addition of #2.

    Favourited.

  • anne replied 10 years ago

    Love love love!

  • AJ replied 10 years ago

2,7,9, and 10 are superb! Luv the Danier with that belt! You're an expert on how to travel stylishly!

  • Joy replied 10 years ago

You look so effortless and polished at the same time.  9, 10 and 12 are my favorites.  Did you pack anything that you ended up not wearing?

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Ah, Joy -- good question! In the bag:

I packed a pencil skirt and a scarf that did not get worn and a pair of sheer hose. I wasn't sure on the dressiness level of one event until I arrived, so I wanted to be prepared just in case. Otherwise, I wore everything at least once and most items 2 to 3 times each.

Unfrumped, chuckling at the spell corrector which said "drabness" for "fabness." Whenever I try to write the latter word it comes out "fables." ;)

  • lyn67 replied 10 years ago

Your Mo-vember outfits beyond beeing fabulously chic scream of appropiateness, and comfiness, Suz!!!  I like you1re dressing for wheather alike, and of course-as said before- I always like your neutral based outfits a lot! Go on girl!

  • Elizabeth P replied 10 years ago

Oh Suz... your multi outfit posts have become my fav.  You look truly awesome.

Is there any chance that BR sweatshirt is still around?  I've been looking for something like that...

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Elizabeth, they sold out of that one, I think, but they do have another really nice one that Ceit has.

  • Elizabeth P replied 10 years ago

Thansk Suz... saw that one, but grey is not for me.  Navy on the other hand...  is :)

  • Transcona Shannon replied 10 years ago

Good grief Suz - you have become an absolute EXPERT at packing and dressing for all sorts of events and occasions. I'm totally impressed.

And I swear you just DO NOT make a wrong choice in putting your outfits together. These are all fantastic. You have curated a beautifully working closet and are able to put together fab ensembles with those well chosen items. Bravo!

  • Angela K replied 10 years ago

Love all the outfit combinations. But especially the ones with the leather jacket! More versatile than I ever imagined. Now I'm craving a new jacket but I've just decided to start a few months of SYC. RATS! :)

  • MsLuna replied 10 years ago

You look fab in all of them!

  • Caro in Oz replied 10 years ago

I can't pick a favourite either - terrific looks love them all.

  • Vicki replied 10 years ago

As Lisa said, I love travel posts, too, and you are a pro when it comes to remixing. Your Amber Sun sweater/jumper looks so nice in each outfit and the sweatshirt sparkle is a sweet way to add some daytime sizzle. I really like it with the denim shirt. I can't pick a favorite and I would happily wear any of them. Thanks for the look!

  • replied 10 years ago

What a fantastic travel week you had Suz! These outfits are just spectacular. You come across so exciting to look at with your varied items and did a wonderful job of packing the right items for your trip. You have reached travel Nirvana when there is only an item or two that go unworn. Your Danier taupe jacket alteration is indeed impeccable. You look so hip and modern in all of these; no doubt you are inspiring a lot of writers in the wardrobe department along with the writing!

  • Beth Ann replied 10 years ago

Hope your weekend was full of business success.  You certainly dressed for it!  You look confident, relaxed, but polished.

I'm loving the way your styling the Amber Sun sweater, particularly!  Also, your leather jackets are serving you well. They're beautiful, but they also add texture with structure to you outfits.  I'd also encourage you to keep plenty of turtlenecks in your wardrobe -- they are exceedingly flattering on you!

(And kudos to you for continuing to exercise while away !)
