OBG #4 Blue leopard

I somehow missed the (essential) reminder that we are supposed to try to wear our older items in a fresh way if we can...so my week so far has been a mix. Yesterday's outfit was straight from 2014 (except for the white sneakers when I went out!).

Today I'm 2013 on top and 2018 on the bottom. :)

This stretch silk leopard shirt from Ann Taylor is from (I think?) 2013 and is one of my favourite shirts ever -- it is a "goodie" because of the soft fabric, perfect fit, the fun pattern -- and it's in ALL my key neutrals, so it mixes so easily with everything else in the closet. It's warm, though, so I only wear in fall/ winter -- which no doubt has helped it to last so long.

The Lord and Taylor  merino turtleneck is maybe a cheat since this is my second iteration of this same item since I joined YLF (I wore the first one so much it developed holes). Obviously, a workhorse item for me. It's particularly useful for travel. Can be a base layer, a top layer, a mid-layer. I don't overheat in it, but it keeps me warm. Inset shoulders keep it neat and tailored.

Wearing with high waisted jeans and western belt from 2 years ago, not oldies but still goodies.

It is a lovely shirt! And how good is the merino for flexibility.

The years that you have had things gives me real hope that the items that I have carefully chosen since YLF will last a long time.

Ok - anyone who can wear a body con turtleneck OVER anything is a fashion hero in my books. This is SO sophisticated and chic.  I'd look like a shrink wrapped loaf of bread .  I've always loved that shirt of yours too - and know what you mean about stretch silk being nice and warm.

    KILLER FAB!

Perfect for our weather today. I'm wearing a t-neck too....

The silver buckle of the belt looks sooo great your silver hair! LOVE the shiny match! Radiant.

It's extremely satisfying wearing older wardrobe items with panache, and feeling good in them. THAT is sustainability at its best. And high five on the fabness of a patterned silk blouse. This one loves you right back :)

Looks, great, Suz! I would never thought of layering a shirt under a turtleneck. Thanks for the idea!

Fantastic look! Belt adds a lot too. The pattern and color of the shirt were made for you, I can see what it is OBG.

You nailed the mission - this is very 2020 with items that have gone the distance. Such fab styling and perfect on you. I did smile at LisaP's comment because yes, for us mere mortals a turtleneck highlights every lump and bump, but on you it is stunning.

Love it, though I'm definitely on Team Lisa and Bijou!

Love the accent silver hardware on the belt with your hair! I don't see your shoes but put on some flat riding boots and this is a beautiful and complex equestrian!
