Pixie-lated again

Fab friends! I finally got my hair cut after SIX months!!!!

Yes, I waited that long. But the good news is I now have a new hairdresser in Victoria; I think he did a pretty good job and feel happy with it. Of course, I'd feel happy with anything at this point! My hair was such a mess. But I got a compliment on the cut from a stranger in the first half hour -- usually a good sign. :)

Nothing fancy on the clothes front, and nothing new except my (duplicate) white sneakers.

Great pixie and nice polished look overall - love your scarf!
Having a right hairdresser for a pixie cut is not the easy task - took me months to find current one. Congrats on a fresh haircut and feeling lighter :) !

It looks fantastic, Suz! You are so well suited to a pixie cut. And your outfit is classic perfection, scarf-pattern and bag twin. ;-)

I think you found a good one!
I have a hair appointment in a week and a half, and I can't wait!

You look gorgeous, Suz! Super-fab haircut, and the outfit is classic Suz style.

A beautiful soft silver pixie cut Sus, I really like the longer fringe.

I'm finally getting a haircut tomorrow so can understand your excitement.

Great cut!  I got mine cut last week after about the same length of time.  Isn’t it wonderful?

It is SUCH a relief to feel like myself again, yes, so cheers to those of you just going for cuts soon or recently returned from same!

Beautiful cut.  Every time I think I love your longer hair, I love the pixie just as much!

KILLER BEAUTIFUL, from pixie to sneaker :)

Fab to have found a competent new hairdresser who is close-by! Rejuvenating in all sorts of ways.

I had to go back a few posts to see how long it got! I do love how lush your longer hair is, but it won't surprise you to hear that I adore the pixie. Short hair all the way! You look beautiful.

    Love your new cut.

Congratulations! Great cut and great to have a new stylist in your new community. I also had to find a new stylist after my former one retired, and had to wait awhile, and had trepidations. I was thrilled with my new cut, which was similar but slightly different in a great way.

Wonderful cut and outfit. The dove grey emphasizes your beautiful hair and the scarf picks up the blue of your eyes too.

    So pretty, Suz!
Glad to hear you are resuming hair cuts!

Such a relief to get a haircut! You look great!

    Beautiful Suz ... as always!!

  • Suz replied 2 years ago

    Thanks, all!

I didn't mind the longer fringe with my longer hair, but the back!! I was hiding that part from you!

It gets really heavy and lumpen looking when it is longer -- just not "me."

    Looking beautiful as always!

Your hair looks amazing! Very pretty, almost makes me want to cut my pixie cut again (it’s been a few years). And I totally had the same scarf :) I just gave it to my aunt because I’ve found I don’t wear scarves enough to collect them, but I just love the print. It looks so pretty with your coloring.

  • Katerina replied 2 years ago

Suz, you look gorgeous! This is a perfect pixie for you. The outfit is also amazing - sophisticated and yet looks completely effortless. The scarf is great and suits you so well.

  • Laurie replied 2 years ago

Fantastic cut. it's truly stressful to find a new stylist - especially for short hair -- so congratulations on sorting out that very important situation! You look wonderful, as always.

  • Jaime replied 2 years ago

Hmm, I guess it wouldn't make any sense for me to fly to Western Canada to have a corrective pixie cut would it :) ? You look amazing and I'm so glad you found your stylist!

  • Runcarla replied 2 years ago

Congratulations on sourcing a good stylist nd getting a great ‘do!

  • Brooklyn replied 2 years ago

You look fantastic! Love the scarf too.

Gorgeous! Its almost worth waiting so long to get a haircut for the feeling of joy when it’s done.

You look great! So refreshed and ahhhh.
I keep thinking I should get my hair cut off—it’s been 30 years since I had a pixie. I know it would grow back but still, I’m scared.

Suz you look radiant, what a fabulous cut. Your hairdresser is so very lucky to have you as his client, he did a great job. One thing that Covid has done, is make me appreciate the simple pleasures such as good hair and the ability to have walks and coffee with friends.

  • Sal replied 2 years ago

Looking fantastic - how great to be able to get this done.  Great outfit too.

  • replied 2 years ago

    Wow! Love the scarf too!

  • Irina replied 2 years ago

Looks fab! I’m always in awe of women who can get a short pixie and look gorgeous. You are definitely one of them. Congratulations on finding a new stylist.

  • rachylou replied 2 years ago

    Snap! Looking sharp! :)

  • Jonesy replied 2 years ago

Wow, it's a gorgeous cut and it suits you beautifully! Worth the wait :). I love your print scarf paired with the striped shirt.

  • Jenni NZ replied 2 years ago

This looks amazing Suz and you look like yourself again!
I always feel my best with my pixie quite short, I’ve decided. Like others I love the beautiful scarf with your colouring.

  • DonnaF replied 2 years ago

Fabulous!!! What a relief that you found a hairdresser to give you great cut on the first time. Never a guarantee.

My hair has started to behave differently in the last few years, as in new cowlicks and such. So I started combing it over from the other side. It looks a lot different IMHO but I’m probably the only one who notices. And I’ve learned that I run my hands through my hair a lot on the now wrong side.
