PMWIW: Angie inspired urban equestrian

I'm still on the hunt for my tweed or plaid blazer. In the meantime, the most "equestrian" looking jacket I own is my Reiss. So I chose to wear a column of colour on the outside, with my plaid on the inside.

Also showing Version 2, with fluid sweater over fluid shirt.

Team Wear all the way!

Couldn't do an outdoor shot -- my apologies. I will try to do some of those when health returns. And thanks to Denise and Diane for getting us all moving on this terrific challenge!  It has been so much fun to see more people post. I've also loved the accompanying stories. ;)

You know I think that #1 is Killer. A timeless, ageless and chic Urban Modern Classic.

You are also ready for some Urban Stables in #2. xo

Wow, love your interpretation, Suz! Your new plaid shirt is gorgeous! Fund checks but  still in controll, and outfit with the Reiss jacket is killer. Love the second pictie, too. That sweater has a great color, and you look  fab-as always!

Angie, thank you! And guess what? This blog post was perfectly timed, because I'm actually going to some urban stables this weekend! I am taking my daughter to the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto!

  • Angie replied 9 years ago

    TAKE ME WITH YOU.

  • Suz replied 9 years ago

Angie, you would always be welcome! :) Too bad I can't fly you magically for a meetup! I'll bet  a few Toronto Fabbers would be up for that. :)

Nice! I don't have a plaid or tweed blazer either so thought I couldn't recreate Angie's ensemble, but I could do something similar to this. Thanks for the inspiration.

Oh so fab all around, Suz! Have fun at the winter fair :)

  • rosencarrie replied 9 years ago

    Love that jacket.  Just beautiful!

  • ElleH replied 9 years ago

Oh Suz these are fab! Especially number 1. I hope your health improves soon & that you have a ball at the fair

  • PalmFronds replied 9 years ago

Do rest up!  It sounds like you plan on a rewarding, busy weekend!
I think you've done such a beautiful job of taking inspiration (from Angie) and adapting it to your closet and our life.  This is such a fabulous way to build style -- so much better than buying the clothes off a bloggers back! (not than Angie ever encourages this!

This is a terrific rendition.  I don't own an equestrian jacket either, but think I could possibly pull off your version!

  • replied 9 years ago

Looking sharp in the first rendition and the pale blue sweater suits you so well in the second outfit. Great stuff!

  • Tanya replied 9 years ago

Beautiful versions, both of them. I love how you took inspiration from the ensemble yet ended with a fairly different but equally fab look. Hope your health is on the mend!

  • Vicki replied 9 years ago

Perfect in every way and I love #1 so much.

  • CocoLion replied 9 years ago

You nailed the urban equestrian look!  And you have a note from Dr. Denise excusing you from the outside photo shoot assignment.  :-)

(Maybe everyone living above 40 degrees North should be excused?)

  • Suz replied 9 years ago

Haha, Denise -- good point! But I aim to do it as soon as I am a bit better. I have more energy today but still have some pain, so I am moving slowly....

  • Caro in Oz replied 9 years ago

You look gorgeous, glad you didn't venture outside. Take care :)

  • UmmLila (Lisa) replied 9 years ago

Glad to see you looking more yourself. I love that blue sweater on you!

  • kerry replied 9 years ago

See you at the fair the weekend, Suz! Will you be wearing the first outfit? If so, you'll be the best dressed :)

  • kellygirl replied 9 years ago

Perfect x 2! I can't pick a fave. Love the blazer and adore the pullover!

  • Deb replied 9 years ago

You have shopped your wardrobe and created a good interpretation of this look Suz. The first look appeals to me a lot and I must say that shade of blue works very well with your colouring. Well done! Must say you are looking a lot healthier in this post, glad you are on the mend.

  • Carole replied 9 years ago

Nicely done, Suz! What great pieces you have just ready and waiting in your closet for creating just about any Angie inspired outfit! You rock!

  • Jjsloane replied 9 years ago

Lovely blues, you look like you're on the mend. This is a fun one to wear for me too.

  • Karie replied 9 years ago

You look fantastic, and I hope you are starting to feel better! The Reiss jacket is gorgeous, and the color of the J. Crew sweater looks beautiful on you.
