Topshop dress

Super warm and sunny in Vancouver and so I get to wear bare legs and a dress! Imagine that. Love this Topshop Angie pick.

Bonus pics from May 3 and 6 in Toronto for the conference I was co-facilitating. A bunch of us gave a reading in a bookstore to kick things off. It was crazy warm that first night, too, but also raining so I had a raincoat. Wore my red jacket 5 times on the trip -- now it is too warm for it here.

Super gorgeous dress!  Even better that you got to wear it with bare legs.

And you so rocked that red jacket.

You look amazing, the red is so beautiful on you and the asymmetrical polka dot dress is super fun/flattering.

Cute dress!  Also your hair is looking fabulous in these pics.

You look gorgeous in the dress Suz, a great piece. Love it with the white sneakers.
I love your outfit in #2, the top suits you so well. And the red jacket with jeans is a perfect combo, too. Well, you look always fantastic!

Your outfits are great, and you gave me an idea for styling the purple Topshop dress with sneakers.

That dress looks really good on you!

Is the Zara t old or new?  The link doesn't work.....and I quite like it !

  • Suz replied 5 years ago

The Zara tee is old -- this is its 3rd year, I think? I really like it. Elizabeth P got it too. It's nice because its more like a top than a tee -- the fabric is not knit on the front and then there is the silver. It washes up fine, too. I have a high need for casual yet "special" pieces in different fabrications/ weights for presentations. Mostly people wear jeans or casual clothing but I do like to "dress up" a little bit or dress differently. I do wear the tee in my ordinary life too but like it especially for those moments when I don't want to be trying too hard but do want to wear something that is noticeable.

I feel your pain about jackets & it being too warm to wear them. I got a few thinnish ones I love but have had no opportunity to pop them on because we’ve been above 30 celsius/ 90s F.
That red one of yours is really an outfit maker.

Great dress on you!  So glad you are finally enjoying some warmer weather. And the red jacket is also great, gives such a nice polish to navy and denim!

  • gradfashionista replied 5 years ago

Thumbs up to the dress, and the enjoy the warm weather out west.

  • Style Fan replied 5 years ago

The red jacket looks amazing on you Suz.  What a great piece!  How wonderful to have bare legs.

What bookstore was the reading in?  It looks familiar.

  • jussie replied 5 years ago

The dress works really well with the cobalt bag, and your hair color harmonizes perfectly with the b and w dress.

  • Gigi replied 5 years ago

You look adorable in that dress! You have styled it cute with the sneakers.

  • Sal replied 5 years ago

You look great Suz and how nice to have bare legs and wear a dress!  Yay!!

I love the dress on you and the jacket- it might be one of those pieces that only work weather wise for a month in spring and one in fall and I would wear it at least once a week during those months!!  I take that approach with my hot weather and cold weather gear as we have many months of mid range weather 12-20 degrees C and only short times of NZ extreme weather.

  • Angie replied 5 years ago

A biased Killer on the dress :) - Topshop did incredible dresses this season.

And very fun to see the red jacket get lots of wear. You wear it well.

  • Kathie replied 5 years ago

The dress is super cute with sneakers! Looks like you’re having a great time!

  • Suz replied 5 years ago

Thanks, all. Yes, the dress with sneakers is perfect. I got the Wittner Dafina white sandals https://wittner.ca/collections.....cts/dafina (no Find yet, sorry) so I can dress it up a bit if I like as well.

Got compliments on the street from people on the dress, which surprised me.

Sally, the jacket is perfect for temperate weather -- I'll probably wear it a lot when I live in Vancouver. Temperatures here are unusually high for this time of year -- a mini-heat wave.

Style Fan, that is Ben McNally books on Bay Street in Toronto.

  • Aida replied 5 years ago

Heeeyyy you're in Cascadia for some unseasonably warm weather :D You look super as always. The dress and sneaks looks fab but the long silver earrings make the look for me.

  • chouette22 replied 5 years ago

Beautiful outfits! The picture of you in the bookstore is amazing! I am in the middle of packing for a 5 week trip to Europe and India, such a tough thing to get right.

  • Helena replied 5 years ago

Beautiful Suz! I love the color blocking of the indigo purse against the red jacket. And your long earrings are fab!

  • Style Fan replied 5 years ago

Suz, I thought it was Ben McNally's store.  Beautiful store.

  • Joyce B replied 5 years ago

That dress is beautiful on you.
Too bad that it is too warm for the jacket but at least you got to wear it.

  • Laura replied 5 years ago

Dress twin! High five on looking pulled together, professional and comfortable!

  • Janet replied 5 years ago

That dress looks fantastic on you! (I tried it and it was not fab on me at all, so I’m enjoying it vicariously.) And I’m glad you’re getting wear out of that red jacket, because it looks amazing on you. Loving your hair these days too.

  • Jaime replied 5 years ago

Great pictures - the dress, jacket, your hair, everything looks fab!

  • Windchime replied 5 years ago

Great outfits, but what really stands out for me is your stunning hair! I love your silver tee in the bookstore pic. And the red jacket...glad you found more opportunities to wear it.

  • Beth Ann replied 5 years ago

So nice to see you in action, Suz!  The dress will be indispensable this summer, but the red jacket is extra yummy!  It will create amazing outfits again in autumn!

  • Like the Season replied 5 years ago

That dress is great on you, Suz, as are all the outfits. You have such a good sense of what silhouettes suit you.

  • Brooklyn replied 5 years ago

You look fabulous, including in the red jacket. Have you warmed to it now?
And yay for bare legs! It is much colder here now but I can still do bare legs with boots, so I’m not complaining.

  • kkards replied 5 years ago

dress looks fab! still not warm enough here for bare legs...

  • RobinF replied 5 years ago

Great dress and I love the Zara tee. Looking fab as usual!

  • replied 5 years ago

You look fab! Have you test-driven your new sandals? Did you get them in white or black?

  • Sisi replied 5 years ago

You look fabulous in both outfits!

  • Bijou replied 5 years ago

All great outfits and so good to see that you have warm weather after such a long winter. It does not surprise me that you were complimented on your dress, it is stunning on you.

  • Cardiff girl replied 5 years ago

That dress looks like it was made for you, fingers crossed for lots of sunny days to wear it and of course I love that red jacket.
