WI Bought....thanks to MNSara! More Leiths.

Thanks to MNSara, who found a pair of these in my size, the Leith track pants are now mine. Wasn't that kind of her? And what a terrific purchase they are. Sorry, this is not a K/R post. I am keeping!!

I can wear these on my true waist or slouched down more. I love how it's possible to play with the zippers.

I apologize for the photo quality; I seem to have cut myself off here in a couple of places and the light is not great. But I tried out a few styling options -- these may not be the best, but I can imagine many, many more. They seem like the perfect warm weather trouser to me. They can easily be dressed up and down.

Thank you, Sara!!!

    LOVE. #8 is my fave : )

    Hooray for Sara!
  • Raisin replied 11 years ago
Oh man, I want slouchy pants too!!!

Lol, but aside from my wanting....You look great in these Suz!  I love the zippers, they are so fun.  Did you go for the XS?  Oh wait, don't tell me....I do not need more encouragement to buy these....do not, do not, do not....lol.
  • Sveta replied 11 years ago
They are PERFECT!!!! I have a serious pants envy here :-)
    Are they going to London?
  • siniestra replied 11 years ago
all are hits to me but mostly the first one is my fav idk why!!! lovely all ur outfits!
  • Suz replied 11 years ago
Yes!! They are coming to London, even though with the current forecast it is unlikely I will wear them. It's super cold there as well as here, and I don't think I'll get a chance. But just in case, they take up no room in the suitcase and do not wrinkle, so what the heck.

Rae, you'd look brilliant in these. And yes, XS is what you need.
  • unfrumped replied 11 years ago
    Outstanding! You look mahvelous.
Seriously,  you will wear them everywhere. I wore mine on the plane to my meeting, to the dinner, out on date night with heels. I might sleep in them.
  • Marley replied 11 years ago
Perfect!  And you look drop dead gorgeous in them with that sleeveless black turtleneck - LOVE that look!  (And how did you get such sculpted arms????)
  • Angie replied 11 years ago
    KILLER

You are ready for London!! Love the 'do.
  • Suz replied 11 years ago
Thanks, Angie! Just got it trimmed! I like it shorter, too.

Marley, you are a sweetie. Those arms result from pushups and pullups and crossfit.

Unfrumped, nobody could look more smashing in these trousers than you. I swear these things were made for pretty pears more than anyone. But they do okay on hourglass types, too! And I completely concur about sleeping in them!

    Siniestra, you are very sweet.

Sveta, are you home yet? How is the trip going?

  • annagybe replied 11 years ago
    Love 'em.
  • Claudia replied 11 years ago
Suz, they look so fantastic on you. Great styling. These machine wash like a dream, too.
  • Suz replied 11 years ago
And Claudia, I'll bet they hand wash and dry overnight like a dream, too. Great travelling pants!
  • missvee replied 11 years ago
I LOVE them on you - so chic. I really hadn't noticed the zipper detail before and it's a great touch.
  • Thistle replied 11 years ago
These look terrific on you!  So glad you were able to get them in your size!
  • Beth Ann replied 11 years ago
So marvelous -- and perfect for your trip. I love 'em best in #8, they'll look marvelous even with classic toppers, I think.  I also can vouch for the fact that they'll wash and dry in a hotel room --- a big plus.  The tapered legs are perfect for city streets, too!

Mine are going back.  Sigh.  They're big in the waist (and it's not a true drawstring, as you know) and tight in the knee and calf.  When I kneel down, as I do a million times a day, they strain in the lower leg and give me a plumber view in the backside!  So......I'm copying them in a matte jersey.  I'm having to retrofit a wide leg pattern, so we'll have to see if it works.  If not, I'll have a lovely pair of jammies, anyway.

  • MsMary replied 11 years ago
Oh, wow!  You look ridic awesome!!
  • Tanya replied 11 years ago
They were made for you Suz!  Glad you are keeping them.  Have fun in London!
  • Jaime replied 11 years ago
Perfection! Love how you styled them with the taupe, the sleeveless, the striped, and every other way too! Well never mind, are you on the plane? Are you there? I have lost all sense of time.
  • Ariadne replied 11 years ago
Yay, so fab!  Can't wait for mine to get here (courtesy of wonderful Janet).
  • Ornella replied 11 years ago
Beautiful. I love how interesting they are and how they suit *you* as person.
  • Suz replied 11 years ago
Ornella, thank you. It is interesting to me to see how certain trends just feel right for us, and others not so right. The slouchy or baggy trouser trend feels very easy and intrinsically right for me, personally. I like slim trousers, too -- it's not an either/ or thing. But I am enjoying the new silhouette.

Ariadne, so glad you are getting a pair!

Shevia, not on the plane yet. Soon!

Thanks, Tanya & MaryK, Thistle and missive!

Beth Ann, I am sad yours did not work out, but glad that you are being PPP and still looking for a way to replicate the look and practicality. Great idea!! Another version of these may also turn up; we should all be on the lookout.

  • Inge replied 11 years ago
They are pure perfection on you, Suz. And love all your styling ideas (am selfishly hoping to see many more WIWs of you sporting them, so I can take further styling notes, as I have a pair on the way too;-)

I hope the London accommodation issue got solved? Have a marvelous time in London!!
  • Mona replied 11 years ago
Wow! These were made for you, Suz! I am so glad they are going to London with you. You wear them beautifully with pumps as well as booties.
  • Elizabeth P replied 11 years ago
OMG, these are unbelievable.  Talk about versitile!  OK, where can I get some...  ???
  • Suz replied 11 years ago
Thanks, all! Inge, not yet on the plane...we go this afternoon.

Elizabeth, these are the Leith track pants in Angie's "Finds" section. They're for sale at Nordstrom in the U.S. but I don't know if they are available in Canada. A kind U.S. YLF 'er found them in my size and sent them to me.
  • Jjsloane replied 11 years ago
So glad you found these - they were meant to be for you. I can see you've already sorted some options for styling. I ended up returning mine afterall since they looked much better in the Nordies mirror than at home and the static made me bonkers. I also realized I have  pairs of similar slouchy black pants, blush pants and khaki pants (see what I get for packing away the out of season - forgot all about them). So I'll enjoy them on the rest of you.
  • Eliza replied 11 years ago
Love them on you and will borrow styling ideas. Like the denim look and the belt revealing tuck in 8. Versatile for travel. I hope these pants breath enough that if we "skip" spring, they are not too hot.

As for the cold, they are thin.  I have some black Uniqlo heat tech thermals that fit under everything and I may try that as they are super comfortable and thin. Don't know what temperature that type of strategy will get you warm in, but may be worth a try. I found the heat tech products a couple of years ago and love everything about them, including price point, comfort, longevity, and very quick dry.

    Have a great trip.
  • Ornella replied 11 years ago
Suz, what I think is best is how you (we :-) ) begin to trust ourselves with recognising which trend/style/silhouette feels right for us and then simply  go for it. Perfectly reflected in:
Sorry, this is not a K/R post. I am keeping!!

It really is amazing to follow how you hone your style.

  • replied 11 years ago
Suz they are fab on you! I love how you styled them and they will be great for your trip. I hope you have a wonderful time :)
  • replied 11 years ago
They look great, Suz! Bon voyage!
  • Janet replied 11 years ago
Yay, Suz! They look great on you. I'm so glad some of us here in the US could help out our Canadian sisters to get these popular pants. I hope they get there soon, Ariadne!

As you know, I didn't love the Leith pants for me, but I think I found my answer to this style. A little less slouch, and yes, a bit more expensive, but I think they may be keepers. I may have to wait until I get back from my upcoming trip to post more! :-)
  • hedgiehog replied 11 years ago
Yippee!! These look like they were made just for you. The fit is lovely and the zippers add a fun and funky vibe. I'm sure you will get much use from these trousers. I really like the sequin top and raspberry jacket best. Very chic. YLF!
  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago
WHOO HOO!!!!! Fab on you Suz.
  • Tina.b replied 11 years ago
Suz, they are perfect on you! Will be a versatile piece both on your vacation and back at home. Gorgeous!
  • catgirl replied 11 years ago
    Perfection on you!
  • Ginkgo replied 11 years ago
These are so versatile for you, love especially how you dressed them up in #7.
  • kellygirl replied 11 years ago
How did I miss these? What awesome pants on you. Hurray for YLF friends.
  • MNsara replied 11 years ago
Gosh, Suz - but they look SO chic on you! 'm glad you've brought them along and I hope somehow you get to wear them in London. Also, how super cool that Angie knew exactly what size for you! I'm still dithering over two sizes (and believe me neither one of them is XS ;-)
  • Vicki replied 11 years ago
Perfect sizing.  Perfect styling and perfectly adorable!  Big score by you with the help of MNSara.
  • Isabel replied 11 years ago
OMG !   I really don't even know what to say. It is a 10 to the unlimited power.  I still remember when you were lamenting your style and wanted to be more artistic and edgy. Wow, have you nailed. It just keeps getting better and better.

Now, I need to know...what are the shoes ???????
