WIW - thanks to Sterling

There's a bit of a story here. I mentioned earlier this summer that I needed a casual bag, one that was lightweight and easy to toss on, and I considered a bunch of backpacks.

Sterling recommended that I simply go with a nylon version of the Rebecca Minkoff Julian (which I have in leather and love but which is a bit heavy for my treks around the trails.)

I ordered one on sale and it took almost 2 months to arrive! Delivery snafu. Eventually, I got it, though, and it was an excellent choice -- thank you, Sterling!

The pluses -- seemingly infinitely expandable but looks ok when not too full also. Side pockets and small back pocket. Lightweight. Colour makes me smile and goes with my stuff.

The minuses -- it's not as well organized/ compartmentalized/ structured as i might wish. I long for a key holder, for a few more separate pockets inside.

You can't see it really all that well in these pics but they give you a sense of what situations I'm wearing it in.

Thank you, Sterling!

I'm with my husband's grandson in the last two. They came for a visit and it was so lovely to see family. We can travel between provinces here (in most cases) without self-isolation (assuming no illness, obviously) and so they did that and stayed with us for a couple of weeks. Step-daughter-in-law in background of first pic.

Fabulous bag and the perfect colour for you!  We are lucky to be able to travel between provinces.  Victoria is so pretty.  Recommendations from other fabbers are the best.

I love this for you. And in my favorite color too! Remember when you encouraged this for me? Great pics.

Really delightful to see you with that adorable little guy, wearing red and cobalt so beautifully. Enjoy your freedom and health in well-behaved Canada!

Thanks, all. Cobalt for the win! Still love that jacket, Delurked.

Yup, I love the nylon Julian, for me and for you. I have two.

I also have a cobalt RM backpack... in leather. Ha!

I love how you have paired it with the strong red. Glad you were able to see family - such a luxury!

This post made me smile. You look fabulous. What a beautiful place.

Thanks, all. I took my step-daughter-in-law to Butchart Gardens because she is a florist by training. She loved it. Anatol loved the ice cream. :)

This is also by way of being a tube skirt outfit, which I forgot to mention. It was a chilly morning that warmed to a hot afternoon. A tube skirt, sleeveless silk top, sweater and scarf that I could shove in my bag were the perfect items to wear!

Really nice!  The colors are so pretty together.  I love a piece that can hold a sweater or light jacket.  We were in Santa Fe, though, and I had a little knapsack that I was using as my bag, and the Georgia O’Keefe museum said I had to wear it on one shoulder only.

Nice bag in a fun color!  Would a purse organizer work inside?

You look great Suz. I particularly like your hair ATM.
Lovely mix of colours ( cobalt and red FTW!) and how nice to see the family.
