WIW: Colorblocking x 2

Hot day in New York and here I am on the subway platform with my reverse twin!! Sorry the photo quality is not great, but isn't this a funny juxtaposition?

Janet, you see I am dressing like you.

Sveta, this is the BR top you recommended earlier in the season. I picked it up for $20 with Zap and Mochi. Perfect for the heat. A bit salmony a pink for me but it will do.

Ha! Great photo! You look summery and cool too!

HAHAH!! KILLER reverse twin outfit shots!! Right down to all three colours. Brilliant.

Perfect outfit for a hot no a/c day, Suz! I love you in that Armani neckline.

I know! Isn't it amazing? I could hardly believe it when that woman came and stood next to me. The strangest thing is that she didn't even notice. How could she not?

(Well, in her defence, it was awfully hot....)

So that is what an "Armani" neckline is. Thank you, Angie! And thank you also for the thumbs up on wearing it. I notice that BR often does quite a few different versions of the same cut, and this top is like the dress I bought. Since the dress worked well I figured that this might, too, and the price was certainly right.

ETA: footwear was the Reiker colorblock sandal. It is working out really well for me, Angie. Took a bit of breaking in, but is now comfy and very practical for my lifestyle.

SO FUN!  You two both look great!  :)

  • Angie replied 10 years ago

So happy to hear that the sandals are working out, Suz :). And yes! The heat can make us a little less observant. Although you're as sharp as an arrow!

Love the photo!  And your outfit.  Your reverse twin doesn't notice because the world in her smart camera deprives her of normal human senses.

Great photo! Both of you look great. Lol

  • Joy replied 10 years ago

    Fun photo!  You look wonderful!

  • Mona replied 10 years ago

So interesting to see your outfit reverse twin! It just shows how NYC is so much more fashion forward than Kingston!

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

    LOL, Mona!!

  • Debra replied 10 years ago

Two gorgeous ladies, keep cool :)

  • Debora replied 10 years ago

Hi Suz! Are you enjoying NY? Of course, the first thing I did after fainting over your outfit was to look and try to see what subway stop you were at. We'll be there in two weeks and I can't wait!

This is a perfect neckline for you and a sophisticated, summer casual look. So funny about your color block twin!

  • ramya replied 10 years ago

Can I Xerox the outfit plz:)

  • Ornella replied 10 years ago

Great outfit, but look at that photo moment - priceless!

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Debora, we had a great time in NY. I am back home now but only got to post the photo. In this picture I think we were at Rockefeller Center, on our way to Brooklyn! We stayed in a Brooklyn apartment that worked out really well.

If you want some restaurant recommendations, we ate at some good places! PM me for details.

  • Sveta replied 10 years ago

Lol - twins indeed!  You look summery and fresh  - heat or not!
I am glad the BR top worked for you and is comfortable in the heat. Great price too!

  • Janet replied 10 years ago

You look cool and comfortably fab! We definitely were on the same wavelength with our outfits. :-)

  • Transcona Shannon replied 10 years ago

LOVE the reverse twin look! Too funny.

Your outfit looks fantastic Suz - I love that top on you.

  • replied 10 years ago

Priceless photo, and you both look great.

  • Vicki replied 10 years ago

This is so cute and I love your twin shot and the way you observe in life!

  • Raisin replied 10 years ago

    Ha!  Reverse twin!  Love it!

Ah, so this is the Armani neckline.  It does look great!

  • qfbrenda replied 10 years ago

That is just awesome.  I'm glad you had a great trip!

  • Nanabear replied 10 years ago

You both look amazing!  I love the colour pairing (and it clearly is popular!)

I'm going to New York with my parents next month as well - any travel tips on what to see/do/eat/buy?

  • Jaime replied 10 years ago

What a fantastic picture! You both look great!

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Thank you, everyone! I was so tickled by this coincidence.

Nanabear, NY is super fun. PM me if you like for some restaurants. We went to the theatre but the plays we saw will not be running when you are there. Shopping will be fun, though -- you can get fall clothing by then.

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

Classic photo!  Great outfit Suz. I love that pink on you.

  • Caro in Oz replied 10 years ago

Love the neckline & the colours look so fresh together. Funny coincidence   too :)

  • Runcarla replied 10 years ago

To funny! You look fab, and so does your colour twin.

  • amiable replied 10 years ago

Love it!  And I'm loving the Armani neckline too - it's a little bit like my gray dress that I lopped the sleeves from.  I have a pattern for this -- I may be making it in my future - you certainly rock it!

  • Sarah A replied 10 years ago

You look great in your colorblocking for NYC. Funny reverse twin pic! How random and fun. i have now learned something today as well. The Armani neckline.... lovely!
