WIW: Dressy top, jeans, and brown accents

I love blue with tans, but taupe is "my" brown, so thanks to Angie (and cooperative weather) here is today's rendition of her new ensemble! Thanks, Angie!

I could do a different version of this with the Okalas (tan ankle strap), and a cognac or leopard print belt, but then I'd switch out the taupe bag for something different. Today, I am matchy matchy. :)

Love the way taupe plays with the kitties and the rosy tones.  Very elegant!
Kudos on the fast turn around also.

Beautiful Suz!  Love this kind of matchy and I was thinking along the same lines using my light tan shoes and belt.

Oh perfection on matching up all of your taupes! I love it! It's funny b/c I've been seeing those sandals in stores (I think) in a cognac colour. I think of you every time! I would love to try them on based on your comfort recommendation and how fab they always look in your outfits! However, I've discovered that I am becoming a bit of a shoe-addict these days and need to reign it in.... but back to you -- you look great!!!!

Chuckling, Eliza. I had put on short and a tee for work-at-home and when I saw this post I decided to kick it up a notch. Why not, right? :)  Even if, as Mo often says, it's just me and the cat, at least the cat can enjoy the sight of his brethren cavorting on my top.

Wow, you look great!  I love all the taupe accents and that shirt is just too fabulous.

    Looks great, Suz.

Well wasn't that quick? This is fabulous Suz. Taupe is indeed "your" brown. What jeans are those - are those the Camerons? They look great on you.

    tee hee "kitty cavorting"...

  • Gracie replied 10 years ago

This is fab! I love your Siamese kitty shirt. Wow to the quick interpretation!

  • Tanya replied 10 years ago

Wonderful outfit Suz!  I smile every time I see that kitty shirt.  Awesome job matching all the taupes.

  • Alassë replied 10 years ago

How elegant! And laughing at how fast you beat everyone else to the blog ensemble.

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Yup, Shannon, good eye -- these are my Camerons. I love the all cotton texture of them and felt like a darker wash today.

  • Transcona Shannon replied 10 years ago

To me the Camerons are the magical jeans in the way that the EF front drape dress is the magical dress.

  • Beth Ann replied 10 years ago

How to do you interpret these blog posts so quickly?  You're amazing!

Yep.  Taupe is your brown, and the playful kitties make everything just a bit more fun.  You're sure getting wear out of the sandals.  What a nice little "mistake" they are!  I think this color is better for you than the original Elianas!

  • Ledonna N. replied 10 years ago

Ha, ha your are always on it. You look great this is just the right mix of well everything. Great interpretation of the inspiration.

  • Angie replied 10 years ago

You nailed it YOUR way, Stunning Suz. xo

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

My secret? I read the blog before I get dressed. Ha!

Not always -- today I was actually already wearing something else, but this was an easy change. :)

And yup, Beth Ann, these sandals have already earned their price for sure. I have worn them at least 4 times a week since the weather turned. They are pretty much my only comfortable sandal at the moment, which makes that part easy....thank goodness they are a good neutral for me.

  • Elizabeth P replied 10 years ago

    Oh, I'm swooning.

Maybe I need my lunch :)

LOVE the way the taupes blend in with your top.  Perfection.

  • jazz69 replied 10 years ago

Suz, love your copy and matchy matchy... and it's not only you and the cat- it' s also your worldwide stylefamily who' s enjoying:)))

  • Sveta replied 10 years ago

Suz, taupe and you were created for each other! I feel more love for that cat shirt every time I see it on you - Max should have been pleased today :-)
I most likely wear this ensemble tomorrow when I do not need a topper for my freezing office - here is a perk of working from home and controlling your own environment, no?

Looks great, Suz! I love your taupe take on the browns; it suits you so well. I'm cracking up at "brethren cavorting." Too funny.

  • Lisa replied 10 years ago

Blue and tan or blue and taupe, hmm, I'll have to remember this as I try to figure out how to lighten up my wardrobe colors.  This outfit is divine on you, a fun print, with gorgeous looking accessories.  I really like this taupe shade on you!  I bet it's fun with a white jeans or trousers too.

  • Kiwibird replied 10 years ago

    Awesome!  YLF!

  • Neel replied 10 years ago

I love matchy matchy Suz! Cute shirt and the taupe accents are perfect here :)

  • Marley replied 10 years ago

Very very cute! Where did you find the taupe belt? That's a HEWI of mine. I love the cat blouse Suz - well, I actually own the same cat blouse, so I better love it!

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Ha, Marley, too funny! I got the belt at Mexx a couple of years ago, alas. I would prefer a wider one but this is the best I have found so far. Still searching for the upgrade. We can look together.
