WIW: Mirroring Karie Mirroring Blair

Yesterday Karie posted this fabulous look:

http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....-and-blair

My socks almost fell off. (And yes, I was wearing socks; it is still very cold here!)

Because guess what I was wearing? Exhibit A and B, below!

I had never seen Blair's outfit.

By the way, this qualifies as fitted over slouchy. :)

I'm wearing Denise's plaid pants for the THIRD time in less than a week...go Team Wear!!

Shirt: Halogen
Sweater: Theory
Belt: Fossil
Pants: Hinge
ALMOND TOE Booties: Stuart Weitzman (Go Team Pointy Toe!)
Socks: Smartwool
Bag: Danier
Coat: Hilary Radley New York
Specs: Bevel

Is there anything I am forgetting? Oh, yeah. Smile: Somewhat forced due to a very tough week. :(

Woah! I love the colours here. The coat and those trousers are fab.

Goreous!  Perfect fit, color and proportions. And, I am in love with your coat!

The gold belt adds the perfect bit of polish.

Each time I see this I almost go and buy one plaid pant for myself. It's so difficult for me to remind myself that I don't need any more clothes

Great minds think alike and look....... FABULOUS. :)

  • E replied 10 years ago

You look so perfect! And then you add that coat! *gasp*

(I'm sorry you're having a tough week. Hope it improves soon.)

Well you'd never know you were having a tough week when you look this fantastic! Those plaid pants are so perfect on you it almost makes me cry. and then when you add the fluid knit, the gorgeous berry coat....yep....GORGEOUS!

  • Alassë replied 10 years ago

Wow, you look so sharp in that coat! Very professional, stop-you-in-your-tracks for a 2nd look.

  • Sharon replied 10 years ago

This is a great outfit and very "you" to my eye- refined and modern. I like the deeper reds on you, also. Hope your week gets better.

So polished! I see comments about that gorgeous coat - is it new? Hope your week perks up Suz.
I tried a pair of black watch plaid pants at BR a while back that actually fit, but they were ankle pants and an odd length that I just didn't have the ambition to wrestle with.

Lovely rich outfit, both on its own and with the coat. I do have a small envy about people finding great non-jeans pants that they wear 3 times a week...

  • karymk replied 10 years ago

Love the specs! Are they new?

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Thank you all - and thanks again to CocoLion.

The specs are not new, Karen. They're about 2.5 years in, now. The company that makes them (Bevel) is now my go-to specs brand. Their glasses just seem to fit my very hard to fit face. I still get a headache from wearing them for an entire day (even with extra thin lenses my prescription means I have rather thick lenses) but these are the best I have had yet. My fuchsia glasses are also made by the same company, and I tried on a blue pair that I adored last week. I may end up getting those, two. It's sort of like shoes. The more I can alternate, the better!

East Coast Chic. Love the shorter 'do, Suz. Hang in there with the tough week. xo

  • Inge replied 10 years ago

How fantastic are those trousers on you, Suz!! The entire outfit is perfect. I love these colours on you. And the coat looks as if it was made to be paired with the trousers.

Sorry to hear you are having a difficult week though-(( Hang in there!

  • Caro in Oz replied 10 years ago

    Effortlessly chic! I know, I know :)

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

Suz, this looks wonderful.  And thank you for highlighting Karie's post, I must have missed that yesterday.

This is effortless chic, no question:)  I adore those pants.  I am considering black and red tartan skinnies for our winter and you have pushed me one step closer:)

  • Karie replied 10 years ago

I love this! I'm going to try mine with a denim shirt under the sweater next time. And the silver belt is pure genius!

Edit: And thanks for the shout-out! Hope your week gets better :)

  • Helena replied 10 years ago

Love it Suz - you look great and smile looks great; hope the circumstances rise to meet it soon :)

  • replied 10 years ago

Well you look great. Hope your week gets better!

This is a beautiful outfit.  The coat is gorgeous!

  • Peri replied 10 years ago

I shy away from pants like that...too far out of my comfort zone. But wow, that coat! So beautiful! I want it!

  • JulieJohn replied 10 years ago

You gals both rock the plaid-bah, rock the plaid-bah.

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

It's funny about the pants, isn't it. I tried the bright orange pants -- and couldn't wear them out of the house! But these? They're super easy for me. I might start a thread about that.

  • gryffin replied 10 years ago

Suz - love the outfit, but did a jaw drop when I saw you coat!!  Love you coat!!  Somehow I missed this one!  Fabulous, divinely fabulous on you!!  Sorry can't talk about the fab outfit, sooooooooooooooooooooo crushing on that coat!!

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Isn't the coat great? It is three years old. A funnel neck style that can be worn with the collar open. It has some alpaca in it so it is both soft and lightweight and very warm. Sadly, I have only been able to wear it a few times this winter. The weather has been almost exclusively puffer coat weather. But yesterday was fair and cold but not bitter, and I was in the car, not walking, so I took a chance on it.

  • Beth Ann replied 10 years ago

This look is absolutely a winner for you --- love the boldness AND simplicity in the same outfit.  The colors are deep and rich.  So glad the coat got an outing.

hope you have a nice cup of tea and a little time to yourself this evening!

  • Sveta replied 10 years ago

Those plaid trousers are amazing and so much fun! Love the whole outfit, especially with the coat. Chic!

  • Jaime replied 10 years ago

Love it! The coat is fantastic on you too!

  • Freckles replied 10 years ago

I missed the original thread (and didn't she look amazing) but you definately hit it out of the ballpark.  How interesting that you both chose these outfits on the same day.
Loved seeing that coat again, it is stunning.
