WIW My version of Mochi's Inspiration pic

So, I had the pieces (sort of) so this is what I did today. It looks better IRL (you'll have to trust me on that) because my tank doesn't look so darn purple. Also, my hair and scarf looked a lot better: I'd just lugged a bunch of things into the house and was in a bit of disarray.

Okay, so I don't have the cool cons or the gloves (not to mention the Hermes bag and designer scarf). But I DO have the YLF attitude!! :-)

Attitude, for sure! A very successful translation to my eye, indeed. You look effortlessly chic!

What can I say? You Look Fab! I love red purses & I would love to see the Hermes one you speak of but then I would just drool over something I can't have.

I love your interpretation! You are rocking the look and I love the red bag with the scarf. You've got the YLF attitude for sure.

Thank-you Suz, I thrifted a similar stripy top recently that is way too short. Now I have a way to style it, and YLF!

Fabulous Suz! You look chic, comfortable and full of attitude!

  • Suz replied 11 years ago

    Thanks, YLF!!

I should note that my top isn't actually as short as it looks here, either! I guess it got all smushed...it's a little short and boxy but not quite to the degree it looks here! :-)

You look great, Suz. I did like the original orange bag, but red works really well here. The booties are just as cool as the Cons.

Great interpretation! Love it. That scarf is beautiful and I love the printed scarf with the striped shirt. The boots are perfect here too.

You look great, Suz! Your KILLER attitude goes a very long way.

Great interpretation -- love how the accessories jazz up the classic jacket-stripe shirt-jeans look.

Stylish, Casual, Fun, Chic - you look great and this seems like the perfect autumn "uniform" to me.

  • Makrame replied 11 years ago

Very cool! Love the bright hues added by the bag and scarf!

Wow! Love your version, Suz! I especially love how you layered the tank under the Breton top. A classic, chic look with attitude!

  • Deborah replied 11 years ago

Lady you do have "attitude" and you look fab! Funnily enough I am sporting a similar ensemble myself today :). Great minds...

  • Jaime replied 11 years ago

Great scarf on you and those boots are excellent. The rest looks terrific too of course. I love interpretation outfits!

  • Joy replied 11 years ago

You look like you are having so much fun. The colors and mix of prints makes me smile with you.

  • Ariadne replied 11 years ago

You nailed it! Way to work with what you've got. And every time I see those taupe booties on you I want a pair more (even though I know I probably couldn't walk in them).

  • Beth Ann replied 11 years ago

Yeah! You're on a roll, Suz. Can't wait to see what you come up with next!

  • Kiwichik replied 11 years ago

That's definitely an outfit with attitude - love it.

Love the rich colours of your scarf. I missed the inspiration post from Mochi but you look absolutely gorgeous.

  • Nova replied 11 years ago

    I love it!

  • moira replied 11 years ago

I am totally glomming onto this look. I have all of these elements. I will be wearing this today!

  • Jjsloane replied 11 years ago

You totally nailed it in your way! Love it! Colorful and chic.

  • nancylee replied 11 years ago

Like Ingunn said, you look "effortlessly chic." And that red bag really completes the look.

  • MNsara replied 11 years ago

I missed the inspiration for this, but whatever it was, you must have done a bang-up interpretation because this is fab! I really enjoy the striped shirt in fall because it seems like I don't wear mine until spring, but the fabric is certainly heavy enough for fall. This is great, and is inspiring me . . .

I didn't read through the comments but WOW! This is one of those outfits that I hope you wear repeatedly, it looks that great. I have loved that mariniere from the beginning, and I love the scarf (from MK, right?) but that BAG! When did you pick up that tote? It's just the perfect thing to tie in the scarf. Love, love, love the blazer, jeans and boots and your tank just blends into your jeans; I didn't even notice it at first. Your slightly disheveled 'do only adds charm to your look, which is totally natural, and not at all contrived. Perfection my dear! :)
