WIWW: Plaid on plaid on plaid

It never rains but it pours, right? No posts for ages and then I'm all over the forum.

I just got these Angie recommended check pants and couldn't resist. These are the petites because it was the only size available. I didn't have high hopes, but I think they work okay! They are comfy, anyway.

Dare I wear plaid on plaid on plaid?

Yes! Triple plaid! Trifecta! I think your plaids look stunning on you, especially your stompy boots.

Another great outfit! But come on, only three plaids? I bet you have a plaid shirt somewhere... :)

  • Joy replied 5 years ago

    Yes! It looks very modern.

If you think the rise on those petite pants is long enough.......

KILLER Plaid Cubed! I love it :)

You are looking sooooo good, sister.

Suz, in my eye, once again that red is stealing the show, even from this great outfit - it just looks SO good on you!

    Cooler than a Fonzie Iceberg.

Angie, I am debating, but honestly, it's about the same as on the regulars in navy.

(In Canada, these pants are not available in short. I ordered the red and blue in regular and if I keep, I will have to hem them. I ordered these in the petite because there were none in my size left in regular.)

I know it looks a bit short in one of the photos but IRL it doesn't pull or anything (MY WORST!! And something I know well from the old days of high rises, which were rarely high enough for me!)

Rise looks short to me too - or pulling somehow -  and I wasn't going to say anything until I saw Angie's comment.

That said - the pattern mixing is GREAT and works perfectly. Nicely done. And that red top absolutely makes the outfit - good score on that one.   No other size available in the pants? As in a size up ?

  • Suz replied 5 years ago

No size up, alas, and no regular size...weird -- it feels okay, but I see the issue. Hmmm.

Triple plaid looks fab on you. I love this pattern mixing and those Paul Green boots are winners.

Fun outfit! Red plaid goodness! I didn’t notice the rise on the pants until it was pointed out, so if it’s comfy I’d say keep.

SO GREAT! Keep the posts coming! It's great to see you again :)

You look perfect in plaid so why not times it by three!

  • Sara L. replied 5 years ago

Wow! This is a great outfit! All the plaids look fabulous together.

  • Jaime replied 5 years ago

I think as the waist gives a bit the pants might fall a bit, if that makes sense. The mix is fab!

    Kewl Girl stuff here :D

I bought the same pants in petite because they were sold out of regular. I also didn't have high hopes but I like them on me and I found the rise high enough. I sized up about 2 sizes from my regular size because I find Banans petites to be smaller all over. But I might return because I have a similar pair of theory pants I love more...

I think they are lovely-and if any issues with the rise- they could be quoted for a good/high-end JFE- love the styling as a plaid on cube-super wowy color scheme, and the BOOTS!:-)

This is SO good! Will you be my stylist? This outfit deserves to be on the cover of a magazine!
I love the different scales of the plaids and the touch of mustard.
    Very well done!

Love plaid x3.  Those boots are TDF.

  • Elizabeth P replied 5 years ago

Well, gotta admit it's a bit too much for me, however, you sure manage to pull it off!  The boots with the jacket are awesome.

More love for the plaid on plaid! You look better than ever Suz! SO pretty and I love the new pants silhouette on you!
