Soft edge silver and grey

I've been enjoying Lana's posts so much and taking inspiration from her colour scheme (or maybe I should say her neutrals) since like me, she wears a lot of grey, blue, silver, white in various combinations. And I realized that I snapped a pic of my own "softer edged" version of her "grit and minimal glamour" look the other day.

Nothing out of the ordinary for me and nothing new but I was so excited to wear white sneakers on a rare sunny day (last Saturday). As ever, sorry about the light. My bag's not in the photo but I did carry it. Scarf  and mask not in Finds.

Sidenote -- in version 2 I am wearing 3 patterns!

Oh outstanding pattern mixing, Suz! I envy your ability to wear light greys(!)

You look radiant Suz! Beautiful pairing of grey, silver and blue. Love how the pattern in your shirt echoes the pattern in the sheers ( ?) behind you.

Nice. I know you've made that tee work with a lot of your outfits. What a good layer it's been for you. I've got that same shoe in a deep purple.

It's interesting that I thought you were wearing a girlfriend jean (another item I'm on the lookout for, just not enough to try a bunch on ha ha), but the description says cigarette jean, which I would have thought would be slimmer fitting on the body.

    You're a pattern mix master!

Love love love — the duster, subtle pattern mixing, colors (of course) and that minkoff bag is right up my alley!

You look great! I love that t-shirt! YAY to wearing white sneakers in March in Canada! Everything works so well together.

(We've now entered the season of mud in S. Ontario.) :)

Oh, an simple, clean, polished &chic outfit from Suz!   But aren't we cheating here a bit - that's easy!!!:-)  I didn't thought accessories like a mask and scarf will count for the pattern mix:-)) anyway you did it so great! Then, I just remembered we had threads on the forum at the beginning of the COVID era about matching mask to an outfit, indeed!

KILLER FAB Casual Signature Suz :)

LOVE the pattern mixing. The sliver is sublime with your hair. Rock on!

  • Suz replied 2 years ago

Thanks all! Delurked, the jeans do fit relatively slim but amazingly there is a bit of room in the calves, which I wanted. Intrigued by lisaflex's suggestion, though! Thanks for that!

Sue, I think it's just a reflection off the dirty window there - no sheers! The light bounces around oddly when it decides to shine here!

Gosh, I think the lighting looks beautiful and frames you and your fab outfit very well! I love the mix of textures and colors here--the lace with the denim, especially. Perfect early hint-of-spring outfit!

  • JAileen replied 2 years ago

Beautiful soft colors that really work for you.

We hit a record 81F today, twenty degrees above normal.  I was doing “spring” cleanup this afternoon but it felt like early summer.

Lisaflex - I will take a look. I may look at the gap ones too. I need a soft fabric and not rigid cotton, so that has a lot of impact too.

Wow the colours really suit your silver hair.   Also love how you incorporated the scarf and mask into your clothes.  I see a lot of masks used as fashion accessories these days.

This silver-gray-white neutral palette is gorgeous on you. I like the elongating effect of the long cardi too--it seems just the right length.

  • Brooklyn replied 2 years ago

Love the silvers and that scarf is particularly lovely.

It’s interesting. I think of silver as a somewhat hard colour (compared to gold) but you manage to make it look soft and alluring. It’s all in the combination.

That’s too funny! Wish my dirty windows could look so good!

YLF,  I like the layering and how well the  proportions work together

I love the whites with the grey and blue - with your hair, and the light streaming in the windows, everything looks lovely.

Beautiful!  Those colours look so good on you.  I am now checking out the jeans.  It is snowing here in Muskoka.

  • Jaime replied 2 years ago

Just gorgeous! White and silver are so good on you. The pattern mix is so subtle it doesn't even register as a statement but adds a lot of interest to your outfit.

It is fun to see you use Lana's style as inspiration for an authentically Suz outfit. The light grey colours and silver are stunning on you, they make your skin glow.
