WIW for a little cross border shopping

I'm back from my Maritime adventure with my mother.

So Mona and I made a trip across the border today to pick up the last of our NAS items. Pics to follow soon. In the meantime, what I wore for the trip on a hot day!

Love this.  That blouse looks so chic on you Suz.

  • Mona replied 7 years ago

Suz looked so fresh and crisp as a rose petal in her outfit. I really enjoyed going across the border and picking up my items with her.

You look great, Suz. I love everything about your outfit, including the sandals, shoe twin. So glad I got them too. Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your NAS stuff.,

That's a cool and crisp looking outfit, Suz. You look terrific. I know you had fun!

You sure travel I style. I like the blouse with the top button undone, it looks great with the slim Bermudas. Awaiting photos of your final NAS items.

Simply beautiful :)  You look very fresh and pretty here. Lovely blouse - what is it (label?). And are those shorts or a skirt?

Can't wait to see the rest of the loot.

Lovely crisp black and white! You look fab!

  • Suz replied 7 years ago

Thanks, everyone! Mona looked gorgeous, too, especially when she started to layer up with her new items. Wouldn't you know it, the weather was the hottest it has been so far!

LisaP, the top is a Zara special. I do a fair bit of Zara ordering. I send quite a lot back, but what I keep tends to be fantastic for me.

Gorgeous Suz - so fresh & chic :)

  • shevia replied 7 years ago

Oh I can't wait for the pictures! Meanwhile, I love how that top looks on you! I tried it in blue (because, yes, I recognize it from Zara ;-/) and didn't like it at all on me but love it on you. Interesting!

    Killer Chic. xo

Simple outfit, but very well put together! I like how the sandals add a bit of pizzazz.

Chic indeed: nothing can't beat black and white in a crisp fabrication in my book!
Was it really hot day in Kingston today? We had 26C today which I would not call hot at all, especially if you are not in the direct sun. More like pleasantly warm.
I am so envious that Mona and you can team up for over border order picking: I hate to cross border by myself and would like to have a companion too!

Did you order the plaid jeans and skirt?

  • Suz replied 7 years ago

Sveta, the forecast said 27C here but it was relatively humid. Not horrid -- in Kingston it was probably cooler because we had a nice breeze. But the drive down was quite warm and in Wellesley Island we felt the heat. Even Mona, who runs cool. Then again, we were in direct sun!

I ordered the plaid jeans, the skirt, and the Trouvé jacket. Plus a bra which I will not show.  ;) But all of the items worked. I am in love with the Mias.

This is such a wonderful outfit: crisp and elegant. Can't wait to see you in your last few NAS items!

  • Ariadne replied 7 years ago

    I LOVE THAT BLOUSE.

I would never have guessed you were travelling (that's a good thing).  You look so incredibly crisp and fresh.

  • AJ replied 7 years ago

That blouse is FAB!! I need to stop by my Zara more often!

How fun to go with Mona to pick up NAS items! Can't wait to see them!

  • Marley replied 7 years ago

Ooooh Suz - you look great!  Such a simple outfit - and yet it exudes a cool/modern style.  I love it!

Also - I have that same blouse and really really like it!  My only issue with it is that I bought it one size too big - it still works for me since it is an oversized fit, but if I had it to do again, I would have gone down a size.  Its weird - everything that I bought the day that I bought that blouse is probably one size too big - and yet wearable.  I must have been feeling bigger that day than what I really am - or, I was just so excited about the oversized style that I subconsciously chose to exaggerate it - kind of the story of my life - if a little bit of something is good, then a lot of that something is even better!  I can't begin to count all of the messes I've ended up in because of the more is better philosophy!  :-)

Breezy, chic and super stylish. I love this, Suz. Hope Mona and you had a fun day, and can't wait to hear more about your "new" NAS stuff.

  • serene5866 replied 7 years ago

Is that blouse Worth? I have one that looks so similar. I got it on one of those serendipitous occasions when I thrift a new item! It looks gorgeous and the whole outfit is a WIN!

  • Gail replied 7 years ago

Love the outfit , I don't know what brand or style the sandals are but I like them!

  • Windchime replied 7 years ago

You look fantastic, as always, Suz! And your outfit just inspired me about what to wear to church this a.m. I woke up today without enthusiasm for any of my outfit ideas until I saw this. Off to try it--thanks! :)

  • Emily replied 7 years ago

You look very breezy and chic!  I'm excited to see what you bought :)

  • Neel replied 7 years ago

Wow! That blouse is beautiful on you! You have such lovely pieces in your closet that you could pull out anything and look super fab wearing it! I have to agree with Diane in that you have permission to go hug your closet now :)

  • Lyn D. replied 7 years ago

Summer dressing at its best :)

  • Elizabeth P replied 7 years ago

Love this Suz. Silver sandals really bring an outfit up a notch don't they?

  • Thistle replied 7 years ago

Craig, cool, and perfect. You look amazing!

  • Suz replied 7 years ago

You know, it just occurred to me that this top would be an excellent maternity top, for at least part of a pregnancy. Not the last month, perhaps...but it is really nicely oversized.

  • Beth Ann replied 7 years ago

Love the oversized top with a collar!  crisp white with dark bermudas is a time honored way to stay looking crisp in the heat!

  • Lisa replied 7 years ago

A fun casual look for the heat.  I really like that the shirt gives the outfit a crisp vibe.  Often warm weather looks are soft and not crisp.  This is a fun look!

  • Vicki replied 7 years ago

Love the silhouette of your blouse, Suz, and black and white is a magical combination. Wearing the metallic sandals adds the Suz touch.
