Enough with the silver jeans, already

Ok, this is in the interests of leaving no retail stone unturned. Another Canadian fabber kindly pointed out that the Bay was selling a silver jean by a company unknown to me, called Own. They were on sale, so I ordered them to try, just in case I might prefer them to the Zara jeans I showed last week.

They arrived and here is my review  These are a nice quality jean. The silver finish is a mid cool tone and feels soft to the touch. These are raw hem and available in multiple lengths. I got the short ones, obviously. ;) They are TTS. They are billed as "mid rise" but much like the Zara jens, they are in fact high rise on me. They are a slim straight verging on skinny -- very similar to the Madewell Stovepipe jean, for those familiar with that cut and style.  Also like that jean, they are made of a very stretchy fabric.

However, I tend to like more structure in my jeans and so I prefer the 100% cotton of the Zara version, For that reason, I'm sending these back.

Forgive the lack of styling -- just threw them on to try.

Hope this may be useful to someone. And now I am done with silver jeans for now!

I really enjoy that shirt with those jeans, even if you didn't deliberately style it. It looks like a cool brunch outfit. Glad you found the ones you wanted.

I like them and you look great in them. I understand, however, that you’re sending them back when the type fabric isn’t what you prefer.

Glad you decided to try them!  They look great, but you need to love them!

Nice that there are so many options. Now you can feel better that you found the right pair

Thank you for all the detailed reports about silver jeans! Haha! I like this top with the jeans (what Carol said). Good to try them out, just to be sure!

Always good to try options! You are patient and tenacious, Suz

100% agree with your assessment. Preferred the Zara jeans. Wear them and enjoy! :)

Those jeans look good, too. Fun to have lots of options.

My silver jeans are gold metallic and an important part of my fall wardrobe.  I pair them with fall colors like browns. olive, mustard, and orange.  Sometimes some black creeps in as the gold jeans are lined with black.  They are good for late fall because they are full length but can be rolled up for warmer weather.  Then the black lining shows.

Somewhere I have a pair of jeans with sparkles on them. I had thrifted them and thought I could remove the sparkles, but they are stubborn. Anyway, Zara silver jeans for the win!

I followed with interest all the process of your selectioning metallic silver jeans. Learned that there are so many points and things to consider for deciding if some jeans are good or not for one- esp. love how diligent you were and scored it in the end.

Late to this — I think these look good, but the others make you happier and also look great, so I think you already found your winner. I’m glad to know I’m not the only person who keeps looking after they *think* they found the right item!

These seem quieter and less metallic to me-like silver jeans lite!

These are great jeans. I would like the stretch but I know not all feel that way about their jeans.
