January purchases: Thanks to the forum

OK, so now I have a full length mirror at last but the light is terrible! I need to figure this out. Meanwhile, I've overexposed a bit so you can see.

My main goal, anyway, is to show off my new purchases, with thanks to several forum members. I got both of these on sale. The Blondo Cayla boot in burgundy patent is a fab addition to my closet, and now that I can walk for half an hour in my neighbourhood (with great care and deliberation....) I get to sport these babies! My smaller size fit perfectly, even with a partial insert for plantar fasciitis. They are going to work really well for me. Thanks, SarahDB!

Then, the RM Julian in gunmetal nylon. Janet owns this one and I had been coveting it for ages. My leather Julian needs to be dyed (it is irreparably stained but still in great condition otherwise.) It's also a bit heavy for my new sporty lifestyle. The nylon bag is wonderful. I think Christina also has this one, and Sterling was instrumental in getting me to try the nylon version as well. I now have 3 Julians, one leather and 2 nylon. The gunmetal nylon is more substantial than the cobalt one and I prefer it. But the cobalt is fantastic in the summer for a pop of colour. Next on my list, red, and then to dye the pale grey one.

Glad to learn you are ‘on your feet’ and able to take a walk around the ‘hood!

I’ve been feeling low this week, but a little retail therapy completed yesterday has given me something to look forward to! :-)

Yay! You are on the mend! What a relief.

Looking KILLER fab as always, Suz. Wooohooo! Love the burgundy complement, and classic blouse + pullover combo.

Love the new stuff! The boots are a top pick too :)

I hereby crown you Queen RM Backpack! The gunmetal is a gorgeous complement with your silver hair.

Oo fantastic! So glad the boots worked out for you! *Waving at my eastern-edge-of-the-Pacific boot twinsie*

Beautiful, high-shine pieces! And your hair is looking great -- love the longer bangs.

And I'm very curious to hear how re-dying the grey backpack goes. Do you have a new colour in mind, or will you just go for a darker shade of grey?

  • Jaime replied 1 year ago

Gorgeous! I think you are in your true environment. You are blossoming even with injury.

  • rachylou replied 1 year ago

Suz, that navy LOVES YOU. Period.

    And fab additions! :)

Hooray for walking around the ‘hood! Your “all bundled up” pic is cute.

  • Christina F. replied 1 year ago

Not only do I have the bag... I got those boots acouple of weeks ago too (thanks to a Nordstrom note earned for Christmas purchases). Twinsies again! Anyway the boots are great. The shiny surface cracks a bit but that’s to be expected, IMO. Outfit looks great!

(I have not been posting so I didn’t post about the boots yet. I don’t have a mirror, haven’t moved yet and am a bit depressed due to the latter. The red tape is unreal.)

Awesome look Suz ... Super polished!

Gorgeous. I keep going back to my favourite style of satchel - when  bag works for me, I am more than happy to duplicate in different colours too.

Suz I’m so happy to hear your meniscus trouble is on the mend and you are walking again. These are great and functional additions to your wardrobe. Loving the boots so much!

  • Suz replied 1 year ago

Thank you, everyone! I have taken 4 (four!!) walks in the boots and so far they are doing well! And the bag is brilliant (in more ways than one).

Christina, I'm so sorry you're caught in red tape...hope it ends soon. But really glad we are twinsies again!

Suz, your bag looks perfect for urban walks.  I can see why you would duplicate it.  I am tempted to get one for myself.  Your boots look great.  I am happy to hear that you are on the mend.

A little subtle shine for the win!  It's always terrific when an item can be practical and super stylish.  You look great!

  • Sal replied 1 year ago

Love the new bag Suz - my backpack is starting to tear in places so a replacement could be in order this year.

You look terrific as always and your injury is not holding your style back.

Love the lug sole boots as well!!

  • Laurie replied 1 year ago

Wonderful, all! So glad to hear you're on the mend. Some injuries just take forever and ever to heal.
Restraining myself from ordering that backpack on sale...
