More Picasso, some in the wild

Today was easy: The Acrobat. Simple.

I've worn this lilac sweater almost every single day of the trip so far. It's chillier than expected and I need it for layering.

And here is Woman on the beach reading a book: Double denim, with -- you guessed it, the ubiquitous sweater. The scarf has grey tones. So did my underlayer -- a grey top with white stripes -- but you can't see it. :(

A photo in the wild -- hiking yesterday in the mountains.

I have another version of this outfit planned.

Absolutely perfect, Suz.  Your white jeans/lilac sweater is so gorgeous - simple but lovely.  Once again, I'm amazed that you are able to create these challenge outfits from a travel capsule - incredible.

Both outfits are spectacular - and so is the scenery! Looks like you are having a great time.

#1 would be a terrific interpretation even without realizing you are doing this from your suitcase!

  • texstyle replied 9 years ago

Looks great Suz - wonderful color on you and it's the perfect interpretation. Thank you for sharing the travel pic too, so fun to see. Hope you are having a wonderful time!

Your wild shot is great and your interpretation of The Acrobat is inspired.

  • Angie replied 9 years ago

#1 is Fabulous. How clever are you to pull that out of your suit case. Your workhorse does it again. Well done.

Hope you enjoyed your hike - and glad you've got stuff to wear for cooler weather.

That lilac sweater is awesome on you. Great acrobat interpretation!

I second Diane: Simple perfection, and bang-on interpretation Suz! I agree with Tanya, Sara, Texstyle and Diana -- that lilac colour is AMAZING on you. It's a beautiful shade, complemented nicely by the outdoor foliage.

I love the purple with white jeans.  It looks so crisp and clean.  A great look to welcome spring!

Perfect, chic, and how awesome to be able to participate in the challenge out of a suitcase!! And yes, that lilac color just loves you!

  • merwoman replied 9 years ago

Gorgeous - radiant orchid never looked so good!! Am thinking that the wild orchids should be out in bloom - did you see any on your hike?

  • Beth Ann replied 9 years ago

Well, I love the lilac sweater!  Who knew it could be used for such an artistic challenge?  Well done!

I hope you still like the sweater when you get home!  Perhaps it'll warm up a bit?

Well done, Suz! You look fab. I hope the passport snafus have been sorted by now.

  • rachylou replied 9 years ago

    This is your colour.

Also: I think I went to China in your red shoes aeons ago now. Lived in them.

  • rabbit replied 9 years ago

Really love #1,  so great on you!  Love the scarf with the denim jacket in particular in the second look, the textures and colors play so well.

  • Laurie replied 9 years ago

good one!  and from a limited wardrobe - nice.

  • Angie replied 9 years ago

I want to know where in Israel you're hiking.

  • Suz replied 9 years ago

Thanks, all. I love the lilac sweater, too, even with all the wear it is getting. It is literally a man's sweater. :)

Angie, this was just outside Jerusalem, at Yad Kennedy, in the hills. http://www.israelinsideout.com.....orial.html

We had planned some hikes further afield but plans had to change a bit due to my passport issues; I have had to make an extra trip to Tel Aviv and we lost some time; also my stepson's work schedule changed a bit. We are mainly here seeing family in Jerusalem.

  • Staysfit replied 9 years ago

Suz, we were sweater twins today! No time to snap a pic though. I didn't play Picasso today, no time, I just threw on a printed teal green scarf over the sweater and ran out the door. Crazy work day. Looks like you're enjoying the sites in Israel. Wish I was there! :-)

  • Sveta replied 9 years ago

Suz, this orchid sweater must be one of your best sweater purchases last year. I am kicking myself I did not get it either: I so love this color and it is not easy to find. I will enjoy it on you then!
Your travelling suitcase is a marvel if you can pull a week long challenge out of it. Talk about working closet!

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 9 years ago

Beautiful outfits, Suz! The one with the white jeans and sneakers is especially fresh. You are quite the acrobat, stretching your itinerary to include hiking and embassy visits (I'm guessing that's where one goes for a passport) among your activities. Hope you're having a great time. The scenery is gorgeous, isn't it?

  • Angie replied 9 years ago

    Aha. Just outside Jerusalem. Brilliant.
