Vince T-neck

The Vince t-neck in "espresso" (cough cough) arrived. This is the small. The sleeves are really long so I might need to alter. Neck and sleeves not at all tight on me. I could probably have gone with the x-small but better to be on the safe side where drape is concerned.

It's sort of a bat-wing!! LOVE this style. Always have. I just threw it on over the tube skirt with the booties so you could see how close the "espresso" colours are.

Keeping unless you tell me I'm an idiot. Worth every penny even at the CAD price. (Not $245 as previously quoted, more like $130 plus tax.)

Wow! Love it on you. What a continuing saga of the Vince tneck! Glad it worked out in the end and didn't cost almost 250 bucks! Looks like a wardrobe workhorse.

  • texstyle replied 7 years ago

Looks great to me - LOVE the color on you!

  • carter replied 7 years ago

Love! Is it brown? Whatever it is, I think it's amazing with your hair. Definitely a keeper.

  • Peri replied 7 years ago

    Keep! Fantastic!

  • Traci replied 7 years ago

    I love this so much!

  • Eliza replied 7 years ago

Love it and agree the drape is just beautiful in this size. Well done and your patience paid off.

  • Mochi replied 7 years ago

    No-brainer! YLF.

  • replied 7 years ago

Looks great. Glad it all worked out on this.

  • Angie replied 7 years ago

Hard to see the colour and detail in these pics, but Killer nonetheless. Love it on you, Suz.

  • Suz replied 7 years ago

Yes, the colour is hard to translate in camera, apparently, and then the name espresso doesn't help matters. It's actually a slate/ charcoal grey with blue undertones! I'll try to get some better photos later. Someone has been messing with my camera again.

It looks great! Looks really useful. I like batwing things!

  • replied 7 years ago

    Keep, please!  So fabulous, Suz.

  • Muffin replied 7 years ago

Looks like something you will get a lot of use from. I really like the skinny arm/neck look too (although not as flattering on me).

  • chewyspaghetti replied 7 years ago

    Looks great!

  • kkards replied 7 years ago

Love the shape of this. Takes a turtleneck from boring basic to fashion wow.

  • Carole replied 7 years ago

Beautiful, Suz! I Hope mine looks half as good on me!

  • Beewee replied 7 years ago

    Great color with your hair!

  • shedev replied 7 years ago

    Looks good.

  • claire replied 7 years ago

Love it on you, and love it with the boots! I like this size, the drape is great.

  • julesegr replied 7 years ago

Looks great. Worth every penny, indeed!

  • Barbara Diane replied 7 years ago

Keep. So glad it made it to you.

  • replied 7 years ago

    Keep. Done . Perfect .

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 7 years ago

Super fabulous outfit, Suz! And espresso is lovely on you. Really a great color--it's like charcoal, right?

  • Suz replied 7 years ago

Yes, Sharan -- it's not brown at all. It's charcoal grey and on the blue side!! Who knows who invented that name for it, or what kind of coffee they were drinking!

Thanks all. This is one of those items you just put on and feel instantly at home in. Sort of like the gilet and the booties and the jeans, actually. Wow, I had a great NAD!!!

  • Aquamarine replied 7 years ago

Gorgeous! It looks fantastic with your hair.

  • columbine(erin) replied 7 years ago

*plonk* It is so special with your hair!

  • Roxanna replied 7 years ago

    LOVE those batwing sleeves. Keep!

  • Brooklyn replied 7 years ago

Looks great. I love the way you are wearing it too.

  • Gaylene replied 7 years ago

Wow, that is a definite keep!

  • unfrumped replied 7 years ago

Looks fab! I'm sorry it's sold out now. You're a better model for it than the model! And the color is also better than expected. So hard not being able to check some of these items out IRL. Angie's advice is so helpful there.

  • Banoffi replied 7 years ago

Wow - the turtleneck looks great on you. You should be the Nordstrom model. The photo they have on the website doesn't do justice to this turtleneck.

  • Joy replied 7 years ago

    Turtleneck perfection.

  • skylurker replied 7 years ago

Keep! Love the curved hem, the turtleneck, the fluidity.
Looks great with your hair - and your hair looks great, btw.

  • CocoLion replied 7 years ago

    Love it on you!

  • Chris987 replied 7 years ago

really love it, just perfect for you!

BTW what brand is that skirt?

  • rachylou replied 7 years ago

    Love the batwing!!

  • Staysfit replied 7 years ago

Someone needs to talk with the advertising folks at Vince right?! Someone there is colorblind or has a very different idea of espresso than the rest of us! :-)

  • Karie replied 7 years ago

Oh I LOVE it! The shoulders, the curved hem, the drape of the fabric, it all looks perfect. You wear it SO MUCH better than the model.

  • Suz replied 7 years ago

Thank you all. Staysfit, I don't know what was going through that product namer's head -- maybe she was short on coffee and just wishing thinking!

I think they should have showed the batwing in the product photos. From the reviews it is clear that some people did not understand the style or how it should be worn.

    Chris
, the skirt is one of the Vince Camuto tube skirts, last year's model.

  • Colette replied 7 years ago

This looks perfect on you! Keep for sure.

I ordered both colors and was going to have a tough decision on which one to keep. But, it seems UPS decided for me because they lost my package with the espresso in it.

  • Suz replied 7 years ago

Oh no!! That is awful, Colette. I hope it turns up. It's a lovely colour. However, thankfully, you look wonderful in black and wear it well so all is not lost.

  • Elizabeth P replied 7 years ago

    Yay, keep!

  • catgirl replied 7 years ago

Big yes! I bought a cheap cropped turtleneck at the sale and forgot about it since I can't wear it yet.

  • MTBGirl replied 7 years ago

Yay! All that you had to contend with paid off! It is lovely on you. I ordered it too!?!?!?!

  • tulle replied 7 years ago

I love it with that skirt, Suz--very polished-with-an-edge.  And your haircut  just looks better & better!

  • Lisa replied 7 years ago

    Great piece!

  • viva replied 7 years ago

I got the black but can't decide if I like it enough to keep it.  I had thought not, but you look so great in yours, i'm going to try mine again. Maybe I was wrong?

  • Suz replied 7 years ago

Vivian, I have sugar eye for bat wing styles and for some reason they work really well on me. I don't know the reason for that -- maybe Angie would be able to explain it. Or it might just be personal taste. I expect it looks really good on you, too, but the sugar eye part could be aiding my feeling for it, you know?

  • viva replied 7 years ago

Yes, i understand what you mean. I think I have to try it with more things. I am not opposed to batwing ... but I'm feeling a little post-vacation bulgy right now. So maybe in a couple of days when things have settled down. I think the right bottom is key.

  • SarahTheWhite replied 7 years ago

Oh wow, I love this on you! And I am REALLY loving your hair!

  • Shelly replied 7 years ago

I love the top and I know from your smile that you feel fabulous in it. That is the most important thing about it. :)

  • Ledonna N. replied 7 years ago

I'm tardy to the party as always. Anyway loving the shape and drape over you. Not overwhelming at all.

  • replied 7 years ago

Another tardy forum member.  I love it on you.  It is sublime.

You know what is going to happen?  Reading all these posts will  make me regret not buying it when I had the chance.  I'm sure there was a reason ........

  • julesegr replied 7 years ago

I tried both colors in two sizes, so I will have extras -- if anyone is looking for a M before I return?

  • Roxanna replied 7 years ago

@Suz - my only concern here would be the batwing. I love it on you and I think the batwing adds a nice detail. But would it be hard to layer over? My guess is no, because it is sufficiently thin, but I would try it with some of the slimmer sleeved toppers you plan to wear to make sure the bulk from the batwing doesn't get in the way.

  • Suz replied 7 years ago

No bulk at all, Roxanna -- it's super slinky material. I can layer to my heart's content. But good point for other batwing items!!

Jules, that is really kind of you -- maybe you should make a separate thread in case anyone wants it -- they might not see it buried here.

  • Inge replied 7 years ago

Chiming in very late (I have an ear infection and have been feeling grotty, so haven't been on the computer as often as usual).
This top was made for you, Suz, WOW and WOW again!! You had to make an effort to get it, but boy was it worth it!!-)

And YES! Your hair is looking so stunning!

  • Suz replied 7 years ago

Thank you, Inge and I hope you are beginning to feel better -- an infection is never fun. Ugh.
