Picasso Challenge: The Charnel House

I can't let a great challenge go by. Especially not when I saw that Joy was managing out of her suitcase!

Here's my offering. Full disclosure, I won't be wearing the shoes for the day; I'll change into my white Cons for walking. These are pretty good for comfort, but not great on slippery stone.

Thanks, Angie, for the amazing challenge, and thanks to the rest of you for your inspiring interpretations. I may not comment on all threads but I am going to try to peek at them! So far, I am in awe of your creativity and thoughtfulness.

You look as chic, modern and fabulous as ever. Well done managing the challenge from your suitcase only. Both the pattern mix and the warm and cool greys mimic the elements in the painting, and the dark and white grounds it perfectly.

Awesome interpretation out of the suitcase! I think the cons will look great with this outfit too. You look great, Suz.

Well done, you look wonderful and I love the outfit. Perfect for travel explorations!!

What a great job, especially since you're doing this from your suitcase. The gray stripes in your shirt echo the charcoal in the painting.

This is a wonderful outfit, Suz.  I'm so impressed that both you and Joy are able to participate in this challenge from your travel capsules - amazing.

You (& Joy) blow me away - great interpretation Suz. How's the passport situation?

I'm so impressed that you managed to put this together from your suitcase! The soft neutrals look lovely on you. Is the painting you're standing near a Picasso?

Oh, wow, I totally forgot the challenge, still yesterday was dressed alike it, even unconsciously!! AS ALWAYS love your version, totally suzpicassciously:-)  but it's first time I see  a coat worn to a peep toe. Wait, are you in Israel already??  Will you really wear the coat on top of this outfit? There is a milder weather where you are ...just wondering:-)

Great looking outfit!  I'm not following the challenge so have no idea what the picture is, but regardless, this is lovely.   Loving your lighter blonde hair too !

Way to go, Suz! From a suitcase! You look sharp and fresh. Enjoy your day.

  • texstyle replied 9 years ago

Great job suz - and your hair is lighter isn't it?

So impressive that you can put this together out of your suitcase!  I like the greys and the pattern mixing with the stripes and scarf.  It evokes the straight lines and curves of the painting.

  • Neel replied 9 years ago

And you do no wrong :-) ... Nice pattern mixing ... and looking gorgeous as ever!

  • Angie replied 9 years ago

Wooohooo. You are participating from Israel. How fun is that. (Hope you're getting your new passport soon).

A FABULOUS interpretation, Suz. I am much impressed you pulled the look out of your suitcase. WELL DONE.

(You know you had me with the white jeans. The new sandals look amazing with them).

This is a great look, Suz, both the outfit and as an interpretation. And do I have to say that I love your shoes?!

  • merwoman replied 9 years ago

Fabulous!! Is that a Chagall hanging on the wall behind you :-)

  • Diana replied 9 years ago

So impressed that you and Joy are doing this out of travel wardrobes!  I really like those soft greys on you.

Hope the passport situation is resolved!

Great translation of the lines (gray and white striped tee) and color-blocked forms (shoes, jacket, pants, scarf) of the painting.   I think the fact that the painting has both curves and angles makes it a little more challenging but this outfit captures it.

This outfit is lovely, Suz! You wear these neutrals with such grace. I'm impressed at you and Joy for rising to the challenge while traveling.

Now I feel really lame for not participating!!! You look luminous in this picture. Lovely interpretation of the painting - hope you are having a wonderful time.
