  Love! That cotton shirt is perfect, and I like how you made the ensemble uber-casual and hot-weather friendly. This is a summer style I can get behind!

  Nice!  I love the white, grey and animal combo and have done several versions of it.  I have similar sneaks and I think I'll try to put something like this together when it gets a little cooler.  It's still too hot here to wear sneakers during the day.

  Thanks! Sara, I might have to change out of the sneakers later in the day -- we will see. It is too warm for me to wear my version of today's ensemble...(the black dress) since my navy summer dress is more like a spring dress -- too thick. 

  Wanted to add that my other goal is to de-orphan some closet orphans. This crisp white top got lots of wear last summer, but this summer I hadn't had an opportunity to wear it due to all my travelling. I took mostly linen knits and sleeveless silk tops to China because I had no ironing facilities and needed to wash and dry in a sink and shower pole.

  Oh, and another note: these Steve Maddens are the first slip on sneakers that stay on my feet!!!!! I could jump up and down to the moon, that makes me so happy. 

  I do admit that the first wearing left my heels completely torn up with blisters. But after that, perfection. I bought them a half size smaller than usual -- this seems to have helped, apart from the break-in pain.

  I love this casual look, probably because I wear similar things. I had to check my closet...I have the same white top from Zara which I got this year!

  But it is evidence that a crisp white shirt is the solution to a lot of summer woes. :)

  Lisa, my hair might be blonder. Not intentionally, but I think it's got more highlights plus a bit of sun bleaching -- it happens in summer. 

  Shedev, you might give these sneakers a try if they are still available. I think I got last year's model on sale in March by a complete fluke. Again, the break in day was agony -- but after that, success.

  Fantastic summer casual outfit Suz! I really like the combination of the more structured/crisp shirt with the casual rolled shorts.

  Lovely! That's a very cool, casual, summery outfit, Suz. I love that crisp white blouse paired with the grey shorts....I'd never have thought of THIS combination after reading Angie's outfit idea! :D

  Woohoo Suz ! Looking great ! VERY crisp and cooling looking. Love this... but loved the anniversary outfit with the horizontal striped skirt as well.

  Fab outfit Suz.  Your shirt looks so crisp and white and it plays perfectly against the blue shorts - who doesn't love white with blue?  The shoes really make the outfit though.  they are super cute.

  Great summer look. I love how the top elevates this casual look. I also love a popped collar. Yay for finally finding slip on sneaks that work. I'm with you though. I haven't worn my Vans most of the summer.

  This has a very "50's-starlet-posing-for-publicity-photos-while-pretending-to-do-normal-things" vibe.  You know, "Rita Hayworth gardening," etc.  You look so polished and healthy!

  Love this with the animal shoes! No matter is an working from home casual for you, the crisp white shirt is making it very yours and also suitable for some more, even a notch up dressier occasions(barbecue, shopping, city walk...)
