WIW on our first snowy day

So, the temperature is 16C today -- and rain -- but two days ago it was insanely cold and snowy. I took a tip from Angie and wore the leopard statement ensemble. With my fantastic, fantastic, FANTASTIC Aquatalia Taylors (how do I love those? Let me count the ways), an old BB no-iron shirt, CoH crops, an old BR grey sweater, a BR bag, and my Danier coat.

Very nice! Awesome boots. I love the crisp blouse, and cozy sweater, and pop of leopard.

We've been in St Paul MN this past week and it felt very cold to us. They didn't get any snow, but with the wind and rain, I felt like a popsicle. Brrr. I salute those of you who live all year in these challenging environments.

Love the outfit! My Taylor's are still sitting in the box waiting for their first wear. Why, I have no idea, but today they will be worn!

  • kkards replied 3 years ago

    speechless......

ok, wow, love the simplicity of this, and the pop of leopard just the right finishing touch!

  • chewyspaghetti replied 3 years ago

    Love that coat!

  • gradfashionista replied 3 years ago

    Note to self: a contrasting
bright colour, and a crisp collar and cuffs makes a long cardigan outfit look less casual and more 'put together.' Great look, Suz.

A great coat for "warm" cold days .
I love the first outfit...it is great styling, like you had a stylist with you :-)
The crisp white shirt looks great! The bit of leopard keeps the outfit fun.
I also like your chunky ring.

  • Karie replied 3 years ago

Gorgeous! BB makes some of the best button down shirts, and yours looks like it fits perfectly. And that coat is divine! I love the contrasting wool and leather.

  • kathryn replied 3 years ago

I love this! I agree that this look very put together. The coat is amazing.

  • UmmLila replied 3 years ago

Both of your looks are excellent. I am agreeing with gradfashionista's assessment of the shirt.

I think I'm going to bust out my new Aquatalias today, too. I've been avoiding booties and coats as much as possible, but the last couple of days have not been pleasant.

Love this look! Looks very classic and stylish with the white shirt and cozy sweater.

    Fantastic!

  • rachylou replied 3 years ago

Killin' it! Wish we had Danier here...

  • Dee replied 3 years ago

Wow, snow already! Things I don't miss about living in Canada.

Great combination of cozy and stylish, and that coat is killer.

  • Joy replied 3 years ago

The oat and boots were made for each other. As others have said, the outfit is sublime in its simplicity with a bit of leopard. Angie is a styling genius! Your Aquatalias remind me in look and function of my old La Canadiennes in dark grey suede lined with Thinsulate. Warm and dry.
So far we are only looking at snow on the mountains.

  • kellygirl replied 3 years ago

Wow! You are stunning, Suz! Love the dramatic collar on that coat. You look divine!

  • Xtabay replied 3 years ago

You look truly fabulous, and you give cold weather a good name!  I'm crushing big time on your leopard clutch.  Stay warm, and enjoy those great boots.  Still in shorts and sandals here, but I guess our turn will come eventually!

  • Style Fan replied 3 years ago

I love this look.  Those boots are fantastic.

  • abc replied 3 years ago

You make winter dressing look chic and easy (when I'm sure it's not so simple).

  • Firecracker replied 3 years ago

What a snazzy outfit. Each piece is so right, and they all combine to make a very chic casual look.

  • Alexandra replied 3 years ago

Totally fabulous! I really like how you styled the shirt collar.

  • shedev replied 3 years ago

    Nice outfit, love the coat.

  • Brooklyn replied 3 years ago

Fabulous. Love the leopard bag and your coat. Really like your necklace and ring too.

  • JamC replied 3 years ago

Love the entire look. I see Brooklyn mentioned the necklace, which looks great.

  • catgirl replied 3 years ago

Fabulous!  A friend just bought a pair of Aquatalias and loves them too.

  • Windchime replied 3 years ago

Aw, snow already? You poor thing. Great idea to use this ensemble, though. I love the leopard print with the grey! Glad you're enjoying the Aquatalias.

  • Beth Ann replied 3 years ago

Well, I guess I'm happy for my warm Autumn (although I do so like a crisp fall evening)!  I love the way your crisp white shirts are shining against your new hair.  The popped collar is a great classic touch, and the choker statement necklace and longer cardi keep things updated.  The boots just make it extra elegant and comfy!

  • Gigi replied 3 years ago

I am dying from your fabness!! You look amazing. I love all the details--the leopard print, the crisp collar, the cuffs, the jewelry...not to even mention the topper! I think this is my favorite outfit of yours so far.

  • shevia replied 3 years ago

Love! Ultimate Suz if I may be so bold.

  • AJ replied 3 years ago

All the little details in fit and structure make this FAB outfit look deceptively simple.  Nicely styled!

  • Isabel replied 3 years ago

Suz, I just don't have any more superlatives !  ( I also feel that way about our Presidential campaign, LOL ) . But the ones for you are FANTASTIC, AMAZING !  You are the bomb !

  • Mamavalveeta03 replied 3 years ago

Both look fab! But I'm a huge fan of #1.

  • CocoLion replied 3 years ago

I'm so glad you got those chic weatherproof booties which will see you through your long winters.  Isn't it great when we love something?  Coat looks great, did Danier reorganize or are their stores no more?

  • bella replied 3 years ago

    You look amazing!

  • Suz replied 3 years ago

Thank you for all the kind words, all.

Denise, re Danier -- both. They went bankrupt and closed last year. But now they are reviving with a few new stores. No web presence as yet.

  • JAileen replied 3 years ago

Suz, we might be boot twins! I just noticed they're on sale so I ordered them. After all, finding grey waterproof boots are like finding a unicorn.

  • Suz replied 3 years ago

JAileen, I hope they work for you! They're a really super serviceable boot for me. They straddle the line between casual and what passes for dressy in my world, so can work with either type of outfit.
