WIW when winter wouldn't quit

Took my daughter to her tae kwon do tournament in Toronto yesterday (and got in a little shopping while she was warming up - thank you for your help yesterday!) :-)

Cold was keeping us in its grip, so I wore layers.

Boots: SE Petty
Jeans: Gap original fit selvege (now being worn by my daughter)
Navy turtleneck: Theory
Belt: Micheal by MK
Leather jacket: Danier
Scarf: China souvenir
Trench: Theory, courtesy BJ1111

Today it has warmed up so much that I only need the leather jacket. And no turtleneck.

Looks great! Your daughter has the gap ones because you have the TRs now? :)

Every layer is so great.  I love the scarf, a beautiful accent.  The look is just so comfortable but also polished.  Amazing that with all those layers you still don't look bulky.   Is your daughter wearing those very jeans or did she get her own pair?  Either way she has fab taste, just like Mom.

Awesome look - the Theory trench fits you beautifully! In fact, it seems that Theory is a very good make for you.

Theory is a great make for me. Sleeves and pant lengths too long, but that is to be expected. And actually the sleeves on this coat are perfect as is.

My daughter is wearing the VERY jeans!!! We had (ahem) a slight emergency situation but I had planned to give these to her anyway, since I'd orginally bought them for her and not for myself. I actually stole them from her, not the other way around!

How nice to be able to wear the same size as your daughter! You look wonderful in every outfit, Suz.

    You look wonderful Suz!

Suz, this is such a great look.  I can't tell you how much I love the jacket and the booties *sigh*, oh and feel very free to send winter our way :)

You look gorgeous in your high contrast layers Suz! And I hear you on the winter issue - it snowed AGAIN today!

What a fantastic look! I so love that jacket of yours and the scarf just elevates the entire outfit. Great look on you. Hope your daughter had a good time at the tournament. My 11 yo DD is a first degree black belt in tae kwon do. She loves it!

Well you sure know how to beat the blues from the lingering cold!
Really nice outfit. The touch of red is uplifting.

Wow the opposite of peeling an onion. Ok, bad start. I mean to say you look fantastic in each version - I love your outfit with no jacket, with the white leather jacket and with the theory trench - how great of BJ! The way you semi-tucked your top is exemplary. Hope DD did well at her tournament!

Thank you all! Deborah, you are welcome to our cold temperatures. Shannon, it snowed in Toronto on Saturday night, too! Ridiculous.

Hedgie, that is amazing about your daughter. She must be very skilled. My daughter is 13 and is about to test for her black belt. She has been doing this for about 3.5 years. And she loves it. Saturday was her first tournament. She was hesitant to compete before and we didn't want to push her. She didn't win her match but she did her best and felt good about her performance and her coach was very impressed by how hard she tried. I was also impressed by how well she held it together; she'd had a very difficult few days (for other reasons) and yet she managed to focus.

Karie, that is sweet to say. It is funny -- my daughter is adopted but when I first saw her as a baby I said to my husband, she is going to be about my size, give or take an inch either way. It looks as if my prediction was absolutely right!

    Killer perfection for Prince Suz!

    Go away, Winter.

I really like you in white, Suz. That jacket is wonderful. And your casual outfits are terrific; you look so well put together.

My younger daughter did Tae Kwon Do when she was really young and it was a great confidence booster for her. Congrats to your daughter for doing well with her first competition.

Oooh, I can't stand how good that jacket looks! And (along with the pretty, bright scarf) it totally spring-ifies your dark layers. Send some of the cold my way... I am itching for our false summer to give way to April showers!

P.S. My Danier should arrive any day now. Exciting!!

Ooh you look great Suz! nice to see the white danier again and it layers so well under the trench. The pop of red is fab too, in fact you look really cute in #4 :)

You look spectacular.  I love the wash on those jeans!  Did you give them to your daughter or do you  just share them?  That's so cute!

Oh I LUV that look and the piff of color with the scarf.....

Really like all these pieces. You look great all layered up & just as good as you peel each layer off.
